Anyone has pop, but would Ward have been able to KO Bute in just over four rounds?

I agree, Ward doesn't get credit for beating Bute until he beats Bute in the ring.

He wouldnt get any credit if he did that. People have been saying for a while that butes the supermiddleweight version of andre berto.

But the fight did show that Ward would beat the breaks off of Bute or that Bute has not displayed anything that makes a conversation about him beating Ward seem realistic.

The fact of the matter is he ducked out of fighting the best competition in the division, well he didn't duck out he just wasn't involved in the competition. When the best were fighting the best Froch was placed in competitive bouts because the fighters were on his level. When he fought Bute he beat him like a naughty school child.

When you get spanked a certain way it shows that you are not on that fighters level, people can argue that ''styles make fights'' but that doesn't ring true for what happened last night. It is a case of a D class fighter getting whooped by a B class fighter.

Ward is a class above Froch, he might not have the tools to brutalise Bute in that fashion however he most certainly has the tools to break him down and render him ineffective.

This post, the TS, I mean people in here DO NOT KNOW BOXING. It is a joke. How is Ward slick? Is that a serious question? How many times has he been hit flush? Shut up.

Ward is on a different level than Froch, forget Bute. The lack of boxing IQ on here is asinine, asiten, asitwelve.

There's no way Bute-Ward would have been a brawl. Still, i'd have Ward > Bute.

Look dummy, it's clear you do not know boxing. We get that. But Bute proved he is a notch below Froch in terms of class, and Ward with one hand dominated Froch. Would Ward KO him in 5 rounds? I don't know. But I know the fight would not even be competitive, and Ward would have his way with Bute and completely outclass him. Your thread sucks.

Could you clarify what you think distinguishes it?

Foreman-Frazier was one of the most one-sided fights ever, between two of the greatest heavyweights ever.

Personally I think the comparisons in style are off. Frazier was an infighter attacking a notorious power puncher. Thats a match made in heaven for Foreman. This fight is supposed to be a stalker boxer vs a counter puncher. It shouldnt have ended this badly for bute.
