than Miranda Bute 's never been hurt, so doubt he's worked on that facet of his games in response 2 comment above, but seriously doubt Froch is on for Canada after this wipeout...Bute will be bk vs some1 safe, in Canada...

Ill be shocked if they take the rematch.
These clauses are usually to protect fighters boxing away from home from being on the end of a home town decision. In this case it obviously does not apply as Froch dominated Bute from the bell and comprehensively destroyed him.
Bute big shots look to have no effect on Froch at all, yet every shot Froch landed seemed to shake Bute. It would be hard for him to ever get over that!

Bute's biggest mistake last night was sticking to his gameplan. I still believe him to be a very good fighter but great fighters, smart fighters, can make adjustments on the fly.
No matter how many times Froch caught Bute with something big he kept backing up, laying on the ropes, and tried to evade. Had Bute thrown his gameplan out the window and started brawling with Froch he might have done much better and could have easily hurt Froch. Bute hits hard, even Froch admitted that but what good are heavy hands when they sit idle waiting for the perfect moment to be thrown?
Congratulations and huge props to Froch though who tossed his gameplay out the window and fought like a beast in a street fight! Had Froch fought like that against Ward I believe last night would have been a unification fight.Last edited by myau1; 05-27-2012, 09:54 AM.

Team Bute wasn't prepared for Froch foot speed and hand speed Bute couldn't get in his rhythm his timing was off he was expecting the slow flat footed plodding version of Frioch to show up that didn't happen he'll bounce back he needs to hit the gym harder work on his defense

Bute sucks plain and simple, just a snake oppertunist trying to beat the 2nd place super 6 winner and it back fired. The way Bute lost the fight doest warrant a rematch. Iam glad Bute got koed another bum bites the dust

If Froch were to fight all of his fights with a seek and destroy attitude, and with his power and reach, this guy would be a problem for ANY super middleweight. Great performance by the Brit last night.

I admit, I bought into the Bute hype. He didn't face top notch competition, but I thought he had enough skills and talent to at least compete, not necessarily win, with the elite of the 168 division. Many people, including boxing experts were fooled by Bute's fights. He still is a top 10 SM imo, but with the likes of Ward, Froch, Kessler, Dirrell he can't compete.
First things first: Bute going into the fight, lacked the mental strength to face Froch on his home turf backed by 9.000 Brits. That mental strength is built by facing tough, quality opponents, away from home.
Second: Bute showed his lack of defense during this fight. He doesn't have a weak chin as many people said, he did take some good shots over the course of rounds 2,3,4,5 and managed to stay on his feet. He's only human though. The best way for Bute to avoid Froch's power punches was stay on the inside (as Froch isn't a very skilled boxer on the inside), hold when necessary and let his goddamn hands go, 'cause Froch was completely open when he was on the offense. I didn't see him punch in combinations at all, he thought he would do damage with single shots. That was a big mistake. Froch was cautious at first, but when he saw that for every single punch from Bute he received he dished 5 or 6 in return it was over. His confidence built up tremendously , also backed by the crowd. When a fighter is on the ropes and tries to hold like Bute did it's a bad look. Bute also didn't have a back-forth movement, after a punch or two he stood right in front of Froch to receive his punches.
This was the worst type of adversary for Bute.
Damn! Ward was smart and composed both with Froch and Kessler. Not a very pleasing style, but good enough when fighting with lumberjacks. That's the difference between a born champion and a made one!
PS. Bute made Froch look good. Don't fool yourselves thinking that Froch lacked attitude in his previous fights.Last edited by boxXxing_star; 05-27-2012, 11:03 AM.
