    Nottingham Arena, Nottingham - Carl Froch (29-2, 21KOs) became a three time world champion when he stopped previously undefeated Lucian Bute (30-1, 24KOs) in five rounds to capture the IBF super middleweight title.

          Froch took a big left flush on the snozz in the 4th which stopped him in his tracks temporarily, handled it well enough though.

              Yeah Dirrell clocked him one time too, caused him to step back a few... but he just keeps coming back.

              You show weakness, he comes at you. That 3rd round was scary.

                          Fair play to Froch, I thought he would lose, but I underestimated the inability of Bute to take a half decent shot.

                          Only fights out there are rematches with Kessler and Dirrell (in a neutral venue). He lost both IMO.

                          No point going after Ward, he will get schooled again.

                              Froch doesn't respect Dirrell, I doubt he fights him again. Kessler is the obvious fight and given he turned up to the venue last night it will probably be on.

                                  Froch clearly earned respect for something Bute caught him with at some point, and he was relatively cautious in pockets. Until he realized his shots were causing Bute far worse trouble. Extra credit to Froch for selling out the instant it seemed advantageous for him. That's all we ask.

                                      just saw the fight and froch dominated he made bute look like a bum froch was unloading shots at will
