1st off those in the know - know how good dirrel is, when he fought froch that was his first big step up, and he admitted to being nervous in the early going, but look at a lot of the interviews leading up to the bute fight, froch gave dirrel his props, that was the fight that gave froch his confidense to fight bute (speedy lefty) - as far as chavez jr and canelo, all of your mexican pride will not save JR - he is a slacker, how do you get a DUI 1 week before a title defense and no one speaks on it? Freddie is too sick to babysit, and JR is too spoiled to listen, andy lee will test him, he may look easy with his straight forward style, but the man spars with W. klitschko and live's with manny steward he will be ready. Canelo is good (remember the kid is like 21 years old) i view him as one of the next mexican greats - the kid is being moved brilliantly - i just do not agree with him being handed a belt without fighting a top ten guy!!!! and still not defending it against a top ten guy!!!!! what are champions for? what is the standard of being a champion ?

Dirrell was not robbed in the Froch fight, he really didn't start fighting till around the 9th round. You're supposed to get warnings for ducking below waist height, so I can't even count how many points Dirrell should have had deducted for flopping to the canvas anytime any contact was made.Comment

Ward said Bute should fight the same competition he has as opposed to being a vulture trying to fight the winner of the super six who has had a rough schedule. Froch also said this last year.
Did you expect Ward to immediately take a fight with Bute the second after the S6 ended and Ward had a busted up hand??? Ward waited until just a few weeks ago to take a fight with Chad Dawson...that tells you he is legit. Your countrymen got what appears to be a great win and all of a sudden you are moaning about the guy who beat your loved one....Comment

I have to admit that I am a bit confused with all the disrespect that Ward is getting. And he really has nothing left to prove at 168. And I can't believe that someone on this forum actually stated that Ward was riding Froch's ****. I find that to be absolutely absurd. Simply because if Ward and Froch were to fight ten times no mater if it would be in Nottingham or London or Atlantic City or Oakland CA I would pick Ward over Froch ten out of ten times. Why? Because regardless of what happened last night Froch still isn't that good of a fighter and isn't on the same level as Ward or in my opinion he is not even on the level of Dirrell.
As far as last night. I see it this way, it is not even that Froch proved that Bute was overrated that was such a big deal. What was even more shocking to me was that Bute has no punch resistance. Who knew? Everything Froch touched him with hurt him. And Froch isn't the biggest puncher and mostly derives his power by winging punches. But I will admit that Bute had me fooled and I really thought that he was a much better fighter. Oh well good thing I am not a betting man or don't make a living at this.
As far as Dirrell is concerned, and I am no fan of his. But I personally have no problem with him voicing his opinion. Since he also beat Froch in every which way, except that is, on the home town scorecards. I honestly believe it was one of worst decisions that I had seen in years and I honestly can't stand Dirrell. Why do you people always make excuses for Carl Froch? He made enough excuses of his own after the fight with Dirrell. Which he supposedly won. So Carl Froch judo tripping Dirrell is Dirrell flopping in the minds of Froch excusers? I would also guess that Dirrell making Froch miss with his punches is Dirrell cheating by ducking to low "from the waist"? Excuses! Oh and even though Carl Froch was holding constantly by grabbing Dirrell by the waist with his left arm while throwing punches with his right it's supposedly Dirrell that's doing all of the holding?! Delusions! If Froch wouldn't have been holding and hitting and body slamming Dirrell while receiving a free pass from the incompetent referee to do so he would've gotten knocked out in the Dirrell fight.Comment

All you guys talking **** about Dirrell would surely get KOed by him and fact is he beat Froch and we all know it.. He moved around a little to much but its hit not be hit and he definitely won, and besides Ward who would you guys put you money on to beat him? Bute?
