I think he said we will not be talking about a rematch after a such a loss, so wasn't categorically ruling it out, just not for discussion at the moment. He was pretty broken as you'd expect.

The guy spoke well. Overall I felt sorry for Bute. I don't want to see him rematch Froch but I hope he takes a fight against another top contender to win back some pride.

Fight should even have been stopped earlier i think, Bute was seriously exposed and hurt, i don't even think he knew where he was by the end (Nottingham :P).

Bute got his bootay well and truely kicked.

This Froch would beat Ward. Yes, I dared to say it. If the last fight had gone 15 rounds, Froch may have pulled off the upset. He started too late.
Froch looked great tonight but sorry man he ain't beating Ward right now, this just shows super six guys are elite, Bute hasn't fought elite until now and we see how it ended.

I don't like to say use words like hypejob and exposed, especially for someone like Bute who DOES have talent......but a lot of people were saying for a long time that it was ****** Bute was being ranked as the 1 or 2 fighter at SMW. I mean, we had people ranking him above Ward FFS.

What was exposed tonight was the truth - and that when it comes down to it, no sport shows the truth greater than boxing. A brutal, cruel truth (I'm not a Bute fan at all but it was a little sad to him getting ****ed up like that, even if I am absolutely delighted for Carl) but always, the truth.

Bute was in with a fighter who could take his punched and come back with heavy artillery himself. Astonishing performance from Froch.

fight could've been stopped earlier. Maybe even in rd. 4. Bute wasn't even throwing punches.

i had bute winning BIG, shows what i know. i just don't like european fighters. cought up on the USA thing i guess. hey. to be good you have to fight somebody tough. even if it is a fighter with a losing record but you have to grow. no rematch necessary.

I find it incredible that Lucien Bute had a P4P ranking without fighting anyone of note. He's a nice guy and talented but Froch showed him the difference in level between super six and fighting the leftovers.
