Comments Thread For: Quillin-Wright USADA Testing Called Off, Confusion Brews

There is quite a bit of confusion brewing in the upcoming middleweight contest between Peter Quillin and Winky Wright, who agreed to do USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency) testing for their June 2 match at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA. The bout is part of a quadruple-header on Showtime.

    Say what?

That was some absurd news. I await further developments, but somehow fear the worst.

      Scandal brewing ....

This is su****ious to say the least, why would education of what to and not to take, be necessary post-sample collections?!?!?!?

Refusing to test can be used to save a fight, if something shows up in the test.

I'm pretty sure there is a reasonable logical explanation for this.

Sounds pretty odd. Both fighters agreed and they already tested both of them and THEN they decide to trash the test results because they didn't "teach" the fighters what not to take? Sounds fishy to me. Golden Boy in someones pocket maybe? Let's see the outcome.

Or Winky, or both? Or maybe GBP just don't want to risk it?

Someone cheated and popped positive. They're now trying to save the fights.

This is obvious and a damn shame.
