I like how Floyd goes out of his way to show Miguel all the respect he deserves, and Roger just... Is Roger...

Anyone who thanks this fight was close has poor boxing judgement. There is a reason why three professional judges only gave Miguel Cotto 2-3 rounds on the Official scorecards. The proper thing to say is that it was an competitive fight. If you look at the compubox, Cotto only outlanded Mayweather in one round the eight. Mayweather was clearly the harder puncher, and landed the cleanest punches. Boxing is scored by rounds, not its entirety. There were about 3 close rounds, that Miguel let slip away by doing absolutely nothing to win them. If Cotto could have landed 3-4 good punches in those round and won maybe 2 of them, then this fight woud have been close. The best round for Cotto is when he landed 20 punches to Mayweather 15. While the rounds in which Mayweather dominated were much wider in punches landed, by the way Mayweather was clearly resting in that round.

Fact is that Cotto was missing and hitting arms and shoulders all night.
The only reasons that Cotto was given more credit than Mosley is because:
1 - Cotto made Floyd's nose bleed.
2 - Cotto tried to rough it up every round.
In the end, Cotto was getting tagged for his troubles just as much as Mosley, except Mosley actually made fans believe that he stood a chance by rocking Floyd .. something Miguel never did.
The single most important reason that Cotto won in defeat was that Floyd didn't walk through Miguel, despite the fight being at 154lbs .. a weight that Floyd knows is clearly not his best.
People need to wake up and factor ***** like that in. There are brain-damaged Cotto fans running around claiming that Cotto was robbed, when in reality he won 2 rounds. That's not debatable.
So if Floyd goes up to MW and beats Martinez but doesn't look like he does it easily, does that mean that Martinez is better than we thought? Or does it simply mean that the extra weight was supposed to play into Martinez' favor like it did with Cotto?
Some people think with their hearts for sure.
