Manny will leave Arum when his contract is up, Floyd has found a way to wait until Manny is worn out and into politics, to make a resonable offer (50/50 or 60/40), instead of only $40M of the potential $150M+ purse.Comment

I don't think its about "needing" a promoter at this point. I think that Arum played his relationship with Pacquiao like a politician: He didn't let Manny get to big before he had the goods on him. Arum knows about something in Manny Pacquiao's life that Pacquiao doesn't want the rest of the world to know.
Its the only logical explanation.
Who wouldn't walk away for $40 million? Pacquiao has NEVER pocketed even close to that amount of money.
Pacquiao and pacfans alike can attribute this latest move to pride, religion or whatever they life, but I have learned to NEVER underestimate a man's greed. Pacquiao has his REASONS .. most likely ones he won't ever tell .. for not taking almost 6x as much as he's ever actually pocketed after taxes and such.
And when one considers that Pacquiao's stock and reputation has taken a hit due to his last 3 fights, $40 million seems quite generous.Comment
