Hilarious: Don King files suit against Chris Byrd in NYC today!

Don King files suit against Chris Byrd in NYC today!
    By G. Leon
December 05, 2005 - Earlier today Judd Burstein, on behalf of Don King Productions, filed a lawsuit against IBF heavyweight champion Chrs Byrd. King is suing Byrd for breach of contract and tortious interference for preventing DKP's heavyweight unification tournament to take place. ********** asked Burstein how he could sue Byrd on King's behalf when just last year he sued King on Byrd's behalf. Burstein stated that he doesn't believe there is any conflict of interest, but understands that Byrd and his people do. Burstein told **********.com he has informed the judge in the southern district of New York, where the suit was filed, of this potential conflict of interest and he is currently waiting for the judge to decided whether or not it would be appropriate for him to move forward as King's counsel. REMEMBER WHERE YOU HEARD IT FIRST! (3:45 PM EST)

Read is on bo....lk.com today. I find it simply hilarious. Don King is the cancer of boxing.

    hmm

Actually I blame Byd in this case. If Byrd refused to participate in the tournament that would establish a unified champ, then he's a *****.

Although I'm sure many here already thought he was a *****.

I think this is because Byrd has been getting peanuts for his fights compared to what he has been promised by the devil. Granted, who tha hell wants to pay to watch him fight? But then DK should either let Byrd go and let him fight on his own or stick to the contract. Either way, DK is the devil.

the tournament isnt worth a dime without wladamir klitschko

so byrd would be doing us a great favor by getting the tournent called off, i know i dont want to see any ****in tournament without wlad and any tourney of top heavies that doesent include him is a total ****in sham.

byrd should fight klitschko, so he can lose and retire, then wlad can fight the tournament and unify the putrid division. thats the only goos solution for the heavyweights this year.

          hmm

I agree it's worth less without Klitschko, but it still has some value and I think the winner would face Klitschko anyway, because the winner would either be Brewster or Toney and both of them want to fight Wlad.

it has no value, if you were a real boxing fan youd want the best boxers in the tourney, not 4 don king fighters. whats the point of letting the 2nd best fighter unify the division???

wlad fought sam peter when people are busy fighting kalli meehans, dominic guinns, davarryl williamsons and larry donalds, to make him wait a year and a half to fight for the title when he is clearly the best fighter might be enough to make me give up on the sport.

go debate some super lightweight topics if you dont know which fighters are the best and most deserving at heavyweight.

how is dkp gonna make a touranment ir ruiz looses to valuev, and I agree people want to see wladimir klitschko and a tournament without him is wortless dkp should think about that, a fight between wladimir klitschko and lamon brewster would sell better then the whole tournament...

...I believe Brewster wants to fight Wlad but would be very leary of it contrary to what he says. However, I don't believe for one minute that Toney would really want to get in the ring with Wlad. He has nothing to beat him with and he must know that.

Chris Byrd is getting paid peanuts because of several reasons:

                    1. His fighting style is boring; he hasn't knocked anyone out or "down" in I don't know how long

                    2. He never fights; once a year isn't gonna cut it

                    3. He's boring and has no charisma

If Byrd wants the big bucks then he has to improve at least on the first 2 points.
