Now Ward takes on Dawson and Bute has Froch. Both are bonafide Big fights, but Bute-Ward would have been better IMO.
Obviously to anyone who doesn't have an agenda. Its the best fight at 168, hands down. Its arguably one of the top 2 or 3 fights in boxing.

I Think Imdazed agrees on that one.

Dawson is a better fighter than Bute. And assuming Bute doesn't die anytime soon, the fight is still there to be made and Bute will actually have credentials aside from being undefeated--which can mean very little and, in his case, doesn't mean much at all.

As long as Bute-Ward happens down the line I'm happy.

The fight will be even bigger if they both win their next fights. Which I think they will.

Yep thats fine but this logic that Bute is somehow undeserving of a fight with Ward is frankly pathetic and laughable. Watching people co-sign it is even worse.

I'm going to laugh when Ward fights Bute at some point and beats him.

Also, Ward-Dawson at 168 is still a solid/B fight. It would have been better at a CW around 170-172, and would have been a huge fight at 175. Ward should have just gone to 175, a little upset that he didn't. He could learn a thing from Floyd when it comes to that. Fight the guy at his weight class for his title, and you get more credit.

I actually see the Bute-Froch winner fighting Kessler in the fall, around October maybe. And than the winner of that fight can face Ward in March/April 2013.

I like Bute & the many things he does right & how well he carries himself as champ but the 1 thing always in mind is his struggling to get up vs Miranda, a strong, no skills boxer...

You, I and the whole world know that Ward (or anyone for that matter) would have to K.O. Kessler just to get a draw in Denmark. 5mill (which Sauerland doesn't have) and a neutral venue, neutral judges & ref will get Ward to dust off his passport.

Yeah, it's all very well Ward saying he'd love to fight Kessler but he stopped short of saying he was willing to travel to Denmark (or even Vegas) to make it happen.

Ward would be treated better by the officials in Denmark than Kessler was in California.
