What the hell is up with all these articles hating on Taylor?

The Front page already has its third article hating on Taylor, as does ESB. The man just fought two of his smartest fights of his life, outboxing the boxer, beating a man that hasn't lost in 10 years, and capturing all 4 major titles (3 now). And yet we have losers still bitter about Hopkins losing, and creating bull**** articles.

Its part of the game. Whenever you have some success haters came out of every hole, crack and crevice.

Anyhoo, the criticism has been just as intense for Hopkins.

Maybe, people didn't expect either fight to go the distance and neither fighter dominated as the haters dumbly expected.

So, the haters had unrealistic expectations of the fight obviously if they thought Taylor was going to go in there and knock the old man out.

Trust me the only articles or posts you will see like that are from the X fans that either lost bets or are very bitter. That’s their way of letting of steam, yet not in the coolest of fashion though. Come on BS writers give the man his credit for beating one of the best of the last decade. Something NO ONE has done since RJJ beat X, and that’s an accomplishment worth respect alone.

I predict that in 10 years or so people will look at these fights a lot differently, and they may even be considered to be minor classics. Right now people are being either too cynical or too biased when they look at them, after that has all passed watch how perceptions change.

At the end of the day boxing is part of the entertainment industry as much as it is a sport, and to be fair the two fights were not the most entertaining!

Before you all start screaming and shouting, I am not disrespecting either fighter they are both great fighters but this was not a classic fight in the mold of Hearns - Hagler, Leonard - Duran etc etc, it was a tactical chess match and a boxing fan can see that and find it interesting but most people watch boxing to see one or the other fighter get knocked about and in this case it didn't happen!

Your points are definitely valid but it doesn't explain why boxing writers who are supposedly boxing fans on a boxing website are badmouthing this fight so much.

The only thing Taylor should be insulted by is his own performance, not how others speak of it. He knows he done ****ed up and won decisions that could've gone either way. Taylor needs to step his game up if he truly wants to be the next great middle weight champ and there's nothing wrong with saying so.

what are you talking about? Hopkins is a tough fighta. It's very hard fo anybody to dominate Hopkins.

I don't expect domination. But when you allow a tired, old (but still excellent) fighter like Hopkins to rest for half of a round you're asking for trouble. Taylor's work rate was complete and utter garbage for being 27. He allowed Hopkins to throw a single punch at a time and returned suit by doing the same thing.

yea, it's silly. Taylor beat Hopkins twice OFFICIALLY now. Give him his due.
