Thats what i have been saying for ever. John was looking for a name opponent to fight. Ponces work rate would do wonders againts an aging john. Once de leon loses against gonzalez i dont think that door would be open again. Dont see what is so wrong going to indonesia its not like ponce is this big draw. A win against john in his home country would do him wonders.

A bigger better fighter in rojas never once landed on jhonnys chin. He landed some body shots and alot of shots on the gloves. His defence has improved greatly. The only way ponce has a chance is going to the body all night but dont see him being able to follow a a gameplan all night specially when he is getting tagged by one of the hardest punchers p4p

Rojas cannot punch his way through a paper bag. This fight will be a 50-50 by the time the odds are set.

50 50 that must be joke. Gonzalez will be an overwhelming favorite and rightfully so. Dont get me wrong de leon has improved but so has gonzalez who is on another level. Most of the time de leon is the bigger puncher but not here.

your crazy, Ponce is not quick but hes heavy handed.... if he lands something on Gonzalez's chin then its lights out.

I doubt Soto will be ready by September after fighting Mattyhsse. Especially if it goes the distance (which most likely it will). If it happens, great. I'm all for it.

Ponce gives guys headaches. Is a little untamed and I'm expecting Jhonny to exploit that. Makes for a solid undercard, im riding with Jhonny on this one.

It should be good, but Jhonny is so much faster and his punches are so much straighter that I think he should get the decision. This fight has the potential to steal the show imo.

Thats because his comp at 126 hasn't been that great considering he's had about a dozen fights at that weight. Ponce is the better than anyone Jhonny has faced above 122. I think it will be a good fight but Im sure as **** not writing off Ponce. I really hope the winner fights Salido.

What a perfect all action war that'll compliment the main event!

A step up for both guys, considering Jhonny's opposition level lately and Ponce hitting the deck via body shot against some can named Omar.

I think that'll be the key for Jhonny, go to Ponce's body. I think Nacho will preach that game plan as well, and we'll see some devastating left hooks to the liver.
