seth mitchell vs johnathon banks is a good fight but unless banks really picks his game up i don't think he has much of a chance. he has wins over travis walker, nicolai firtha & saul montana & he escaped with a draw vs jason gavern. he is the NABF champion & has a mandatory coming vs tony grano. i'm not sure if the NABF title is on the line but i assume it is. banks is a C+ heavyweight as of now. he beats all the guys he should beat but has yet to face a legit contender. mitchell has beaten ibragimov(B) & witherspoon(C+) which are both better then anyone banks has faced at HW. i would not be surprised to see mitchell blow banks out. i have never been sold on banks as a HW. this is a huge fight between 2 fighters trying to get into the title picture...gavern, firtha, butler are C level. C+ are guys like tye fields, pajkic, witherspoon who beat the C level guys but when they step up they usually lose. B level guys are fringe contenders\gatekeepers\former champions like rahman, grant, peter, etc. A guys are top 10 HW's & legit contenders like adamek, haye, arreola, etc...

Can we remember where Seth Mitchell is in his career? Never did anything with boxing until very very late in his life, has really stepped up hims competition in Witherspoon, Imbragamov and Banks in recent fights, and is looking to consistently improve with each fight.

Kid is NOWHERE ready for top level but he and his handlers are doing a good job putting him in with names and skilled fighters that can challenge and pose a threat.

Give him some time.
