Castillo vs Cotto in preliminary negotiations!

Another reason to root for Castillo when he fights Corrales a third time.

    From Box-Latino:

If Jose Luis Castillo beats American, Diego Corrales on the 4th of February in Arizona or Texas , negotiations for a great fight against Puerto Rican , Miguel Cotto will imidiately take place for Cotto's WBO 140lb title.

Rafael Soto, Assesor to Castillo, informed that there is preliminary negotiations taking place so that the pride of Empalme can dispute the superlightweight champion against Cotto, who has become one of the maximum figures in boxing for having such a marketable style.

Cotto is a figure that fills up any arena, thats why the success of the fight is virtually guaranteed against Castilo.

Jose Luis Castillo and Rafael Soto have a scheduled meeting date with the promoters who want to put him against Cotto, as well as the management team of the Boricuan boxer.

That date will be immidiately after the third fight against Corrales.

Las Vegas, New York, and San Juan PR have been mentioned for the bout against Miguel Cotto, the current idol of Boricuan Pugilism.

Have that fight on the same bill as Hatton vs Gatti, with the winners to face each other. MSG would be a good venue.

Why does Hatton get Gatti?..no fair..while Castillo and Cotto kill each other, Hatton-vs-Corrales and Castillo -vs- Cotto. What a card..

Hatton would walk right through Corralles, who is one of my favourite fighters but cant take a punch. But I hope he beats Castillo and then he goes on to fight Cotto or even Hatton. Both would be wars, I'd favour Hatton and Cotto to win both.

I think Corralles can give Hatton problems, Corralles throws bombs, and his height could give Hatton issues. Great fight I dont see a clear winner. Corralles can be droped yes but he has height, heart and power.

Hatton has heart, power, stamina and a great chin. He is used to fighting taller fighters and would breakdown Corrales by attacking his body without mercy. Hatton by stoppage.

I'd say Castillo Ko's Cotto. This is going to be a superfight. I hope its at MSG, I'd go.

I think Corrales would be very game against Hatton.
