Bautista fights Gerardo Espinoza 12/23 on Telefutura. Gerardo is 3-6 with 2 KO losses over the past 3 yrs, so yeah, I expect Bautista to have a tight defense and awesome power.

What I noticed is like Manny, he leaves himself open to a headbutter. Agapito Sanchez could've given him some good lessons.

I have 6 of his fights now, and I don't think he's one dimensional.

He has a great stance, keeps his gloves up high, and doesn't seem too easy to hit.

He doesn't reamind me of Hatton at all, but next time you're watching him, think Tito.

His stance and rythem of attack seem very similar.

Still neeed to see how his chin is, but at 19 he is SCARY with how mature and polished he is. They way he works the body is like an experienced veteren.

Holy **** that is some body punching.

I can't believe he is only 19. He throws that left hook to the body like an experienced vet.

I'd like to see him step it up and fight the top dogs in the WBO. He is only 19, so he still has tons to learn so I wouldn't totally be pissed if he didn't elect to fight a top guy.

He is definetly a prodigy though.

Boom Boom vs R Marquez would be an all out bomb fest.

It's just too bad it's a few years away.

The kid isn't ready for that yet, and it's hard to say where Marquez will be at in a few years.

Shame on you, kabayan! No offense but are you blind or something? One dimensional, LMAO!

Boom Boom throws every punch in the text book. He has decent handspeed, very good defense, awesome power and he's a boxer/puncher. Yes, he throws a lot bombs(which makes you think he's just a slugger), but that's just what makes him more exciting and it's not like he's throwing them wildly.

But I do have to say he leaves himself very open for counter when he throws that money punch left hook to the body(he drops his right hand slightly). Before I jump into the bandwagon, I still need to find out if he can take a punch and if he can handle a skilled boxer(and not get schooled, hehe).

12/23 huh? I gotta see this! Though I'd expect it to be nothing more than a mismatch

i think he's better than pac, that's just my observation of him the first time i saw him fought. he's got great defense based on that fights i saw but on a second thought im not so sure of that. how abt. him fighting montiel? what's your say, manny_p? is he ready for that kind of opponent? they fight on the same weight class, isn't it?
