    Clip: Rey Bautista's latest KO

    Pandemonium broke loose in the city of Tagbilaran after its most famous son Rey "Boom Boom" Bautista TKO'd Tanzanian Ohote "Thunder" Ameme at 1:57 in the 2nd round to successfully defend for the second time his WBO Asia-Pacific bantam belt.

    Throwing a barrage of body shots which effectively neutralized the Tanzanian visitor, Bautista knocked down Ameme in the early minutes of the second round and finished him with a single left uppercut in the bread basket that sent Ameme to his knees. New Zealander referee Bruce McTavish stopped the fight before finishing the count of 10.

    Rey Bautista now improves his winning streak to 18 wins with 14 KOs and appears ready to take on the world beginning next year when he is bound to launch his U.S. campaign.

    ==================================================

    The body shots Rey threw in the first few rounds were UNREAL.

    It's amazing to see this kid (is he 19 or 20?) go to the body like that.

    His stance and defense are tight, he is patient in setting shots up, and he gets so much power onto the shots he mixes up both up and downstairs.

    Watch out for this guy, he is going to be a wrecking ball.

    Here's that KO reel I made of some of his previous fights:

    And here's more blistering body shots as he score a KO with 3 consecutive liver shots:

        Working with Freddy Roach along with Manny and Viloria can't hurt either.

          and jest the way tis guy throws shots at the body of opponents say something bout his discipline and knowledge of the game. H eaint jest a head hunter. Tis guy will be well schooled wit power in both hands. He has a killer straight right hand and vicious left hooks. Definitely a dangerr to alot of fightas bantam-featherweight. Depends on his style. If his style overcomes most other types, he can be one dimensional and still by dominant. He reminds me a bit of Ricky Hatton. The rib breaker.

                    Yeah, my first impression on my first watching of Rey fight was that he didn't really have anything that stood out as far as speed went or defense. Though his power and actually has great defense makes up for anything else. He does remind me of Hatton where he throws lots of bombs though unlike Hatton, he can be a 1 punch puncher. He send a few guys out on the stretchers already and looks so confident when he fights. His real test will be when he doesn't get to pose his will on his opponent as he has been and see how he can handle the situation of him going backwards.
