It is funny how people romanticize either the past or present, it is an impossible question and people shouldn't act like they know with any real degree of certainty.Comment

There's a fine line between what your saying and then surmising that Carlos Baldomir would beat Jake LaMotta.Comment

That's why it's called fantasy fights.
It'll all boil down who's got the most ******ed argument based on their knowledge.Comment

Well I certainly never said that, I do think Baldomir is much better than protrayed by most on here.
Him beating Lamotta woudn't be something I would bet on unless I was getting more than 8 to 1Comment

True that. That's the other fine line. The one between a fan and a person who would drop his jeans if he found himself alone with Floyd in an elevator.Comment

It is just an opinion based question, with an insane amount of variables which interconnect.
Can argue it all day being real and it doesn't change the fact nor make it really more correct than the next guy who thinks completely differently.
I am glad when people disagree, to be quite honest people agreeeing with me doesn't make me any bread.Comment

Carlos Baldomir can't hold Jake LaMotta's jock strap. just like Shane Mosley's lightweight run is embarrassing compared to Azumah Nelson's career. I forgot all about Larry for a while there. Reading this thread I was forcibly reminded that I remember Larry quite well from a couple years ago. And I always thought he was maybe slow? I don't know. But this thread reeks of insecurity. As in, a subconscious acknowledgement that maybe, just maybe, his favorite fighter isn't the greatest fighter.Comment
