haye's better than those lunks, as sad as that might sound. i'd pick him to get a W

povetkin lost to a very limited CW in huck (i had huck up 8-4. that fight was all but a blatant robbery.)

and chagaev is well beyond his best days, and was never great to begin with.

You wish!! the dude went life n death with lolenga mock and mormeck ffs! Not to mention an old cat chewed him up...and lets be honest he was embarrassed vs wlad!!

For some reason, the same people who were so high on Haye seemed to forget that Ruslan Chagaev defeated Valuev (without running) when they met for the WBA title 2 years earlier.

Chagaev also had a win over a still active/relevant John Ruiz in 06 and an undefeated Vladimir Virchis (who was arguably a top 10 fighter at the time) haye fought a 39 yr old audley lol. Despite this, Chagaev found himself ranked below Haye in almost every magazine or on every website!

Incidentally haye also gets props for 'rocking' the cuban great odlandier solis as an amateur (he eventually lost though lol) chagaev actually beat a great (felix savon) TWICE!

Hes been given more opportunities simply because he's more "marketable" due to being British and a trash talker.

There is something really ****ed up with this sport and its fanbase!!

povetkin lost to a very limited CW in huck (i had huck up 8-4. that fight was all but a blatant robbery.)
No he didn't, and besides who is not allowed a close fight in his career?? Larry holmes carreer was littered with them! Apart from the fact that titanium headed huck would give haye hell too, huck did lose! It was certainly no more than a draw!! Close fight but i think sasha did enough!

Povetkin is a multiple gold medallist and holder of the WBA belt and he's fought far better names than haye (with the exception of wlad) CHAMBERS, CHAGAEV, HUCK, BYRD, ESTRADA, DONALD ETC There is no argument whatsoever that proves haye is better than povetkin or chagaev!

Who the hell are you? What have you done?? I know you suffer from jeff lacy syndrome (i.e look at the big sixpacked black dude he would murder these fat bums) BUT COME ON....haye is very vulnerable and both povetkin and chagaev have solid chins!

and chagaev is well beyond his best days, and was never great to begin with
Greater than haye ever will be.

TBH byrd, chambers and chagaev are all better/more seasoned HW's than haye! Chambers beat up the giant ukranian (and a big prospect at the time) dimitrenko, he outboxed and floored him 3 times that is certainly better than barely winning against useless valuev in valuevs last ever fight! Eddie also outboxed prime sam peter, thats definitely better than beating up a 40 yr old ruiz! He also gave povetkin his most awkward ever fight prior to huck! Better than losing to carl thompson or getting beat up by mormeck! And byrds resume and ability ****s all over hayes!!
