    Great win for Mikkel

have always liked him as a fighter but he never seemed to get a break. Every time he takes a step forward he eitehr gets injured or something outside the ring puts him back.

He is always value for money and gives the fans a good fight. I think he has a good few options now. Fight Dawson, rematch with Ward & Froch. Could also move down again and fight some other big names.

He is back but this does not show he has power at the higher weight cause Green has a weak chin and has been on the ground many times and against 2 guys not known as punchers.

It was a pretty good performance, but I think people are making a little bit too much about the 1st round knockdown. Kessler was buzzed by the right hand, but not so badly that he should have hit the canvas. The knockdown was legit of course, but only in the official sense. It looked more like Kessler lost his balance trying to sidestep and, coupled with his slight discombobulation, took a tumble. It certainly didn't have any effect on the psychological balance of the fight; Kessler still kept coming forward, Green backing off.

I thought there were quite a few positives with the performance myself. Kess still seems as game as ever, appears to have carried his power up from SMW, and still retains a good portion of his darting foot movement that allows him to go on the offence so quickly. I wouldn't say it's the sort of performance to go straight into a fight with Dawson or whoever with just yet. Kessler's still got a fair bit of rust to shake off, and needs to sort out his bad habit of falling short with his jab, tighten his punches and so on.
