For ones I agree with Arum on this. "Floyd style is for blocking right hand fighters"

It does matter because you don't know what you're talking about. You said that southpaws always are able to land they're left on Mayweather and that's simply untrue. Judah was able to land a few straight lefts within the 1st 5 rounds of their fight, not a ton as you claim. Either you're purposely being disingenuous to further an agenda, or you're just ignorant. Neither Judah or Corley is an example of Mayweather having trouble with southpaws. He thoroughly dominated them both.Comment

but yet he ultimately end up DOMINATING most of the Southpaws put in front of him
when you have OVERALL BOXING SKILLS and you don't depend just physical attributes like Power and Speed, it doesn't matter who your opponent is, you will always find a way to defeat your opponent
Mayweather is not One-Dimensional, you don't even know which Mayweather you will say, he almost fights differently in every fight, he can Pot Shot You The Entire Fight, he can stand in the middle of the ring and out-boxing you, he can fight with his back against the Rope an out-box you, he can beat you inside, he can beat you from the outside, he can even beat you mentally before the fight
Southpaws is difficult for most Right Handed fighters to deal with thoughComment

lmfaaoo a washed up past prime cotto won 4-5 rounds off of floyd & judging by the way that fight went out and how easily cotto's straight left found floyd's nose, pac will find this much older, slower, less active floyd just like those other southpaws did.
& floyd stopping pac?
LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!
& just because sr. doesnt train floyd doesnt mean his opinion is irrelevant. It means much more than yours and judging by how corley and judah put hands on a much younger and better floyd....
stands to reason a southpaw 5x better than judah and corley can do a better job on a much older, slower, less active floyd.
I mean this is a post a child would make.
Wtf is Floyd not 5x better than Marquez?
Goodness way to duck my post.Comment

marquez is textbook perfection of that style- he was made to be mannys kryptonite
judah stepped off- floyd's adjustments werent as awesome as his toads like to claim- judah has a history of not having that commitment level that takes you to the greatest level
judah's style bothers floyd alot-
a fast lefty
great jab
someone who can trade with floyd
illl tell you something else- body shots are floyds krypptonite- ive always said soften his body up for 5 or 6 rounds and floyd will look shot for the rest of the fight
cottto did that but couldnt seal the deal in the late rounds- cotto had floyd at the brink of losingComment

cotto is left handed, lol
his best punch is his hook, and when he's close enough the angles arent that much different from a left hand thrown short by a southpaw
arum knows more about boxing than anybody who has ever posted in this forum
he's not wasting his time on the technical aspects of the game in forums, but the guy knows boxing
he would not be where he's at today if he was clueless. you should get that notion out of your head
just because you dont get to see him put his money makers against a gauntlet of opponents one after the other to please fans doesnt mean he doesnt know boxing
again, if you knew boxing like arum, and i mean really know boxing and how it works, you could be out there making tens of millions each year.
bob arum has had a profound impact on boxing. perhaps as much as any other man to ever live.
when he dies and he's no longer involved in boxing for a few years people are going to start to recognize that he's probably the best promoter to ever put on a fight card.Comment

And you know Floyd senior has told Floyd over and over stay away from south paws.
I will believe blood more than anything.. And his dad taught him how to fight too, so you better believe it Arum has a point. And it's being exposed.
Arum + Floyd senior = the truth, floyd ain't made for south paws.Comment

Well duh, anybody who knows boxing, knows this.
Why do you think Floyd struggles with someone with a good jab?
Nothing to do with it being a jab, it is down to it coming from the left side.
If Floyd fought the two best southpaws out there now he would get beat, Floyd knows it, so those fights will not happenComment

Regardless...
Cotto would beat Floyd in a rematch. Roy Jones Jr and others were right. Constant pressure overwhelms Floyd. Cotto's mistake was not starting the pressure right away. His game plan should just have consisted of pushing Floyd on the ropes. Nothing else. Instead, he attempted to play counterpuncher by staying in one spot. That's where FMJ is most dangerous. Cotto squandered the first rounds where he had the best chance of inflicting damage.Comment
