It's hard to say, I mean there is the obvious weight issue and the Cotto basically had a glorified mitt man in his corner. I also feel that Pacquiao just has a very hard style for Cotto to beat, who knows though? Wouldn't mind seeing a rematch at 150 if Cotto can make the weight.
if Cotto fought Pac the way he did floyd.....

Does your parents know your head is stuck up your ass so that you cant see whats right in front of your face , if they knew boxing from inside the sport your old man would put a foot up your ass stopping you from stuffing your head up there with all your fanboy crap , he would say wise up kid this aint WWE ,,, WEIGHT MATTERS !
In 3 of his past 4 fights before Pac, cotto weighed in at 146, he said he was in his best ever condition when facing pac with the amount of preparation he had done.
After that fight, Cotto decided to move up, again, do your research and he has added in more muscle, the weight has certainly made him stronger but also has slowed him down a tiny bit, but that is natural.
Compare his fighting styles from both fights, compared how much weight he put on, more importantly compare his performance, styles make fights, I know you only follow mayweather but in boxing certain styles are tailor made for guys.
If this is has to understand, try watching some documentaries about boxing and maybe you can learn to understand it a bit. Floyd does not have a lot of power behind his shots, so Cotto knew he could pretty much take what floyd threw, so he tried to go in typical head first fashion at times with a bit of ring intelligence. He fought the same way against pac, but as you know (well i hope you do), Pac has a lot more power and after a few rounds, cotto was finished.
Styles make fights, I think you have watched movies too much and don't really understand the sport, I know you only follow floyd so I am not having a go at you but you are welcome for the lessons kid.Comment

I can't see Cotto becoming an excellent counter puncher over one camp to really trouble PacComment

Cotto did offer 150, he can certainly make really well, I don't know, Cotto has a natural style to be a sort of hybrid of a boxer/brawler, more so a brawler and no way does that style stand up to pac.
I can't see Cotto becoming an excellent counter puncher over one camp to really trouble Pac
You also don't think Cotto's new trainer can map out a better gameplan this time? I think logic still says that Pacquiao wins, but it might be a little more competitive this time.Comment

Cotto has added muscle, I know this will be difficult for you but simply do a bit of research.

You got no idea what it is to be weight drained , you got no idea how it effects every element of your game , it doesnt matter what Cotto made 6 mths earlier , that extra time and more weight to lose killed him .
Weight is a very strange thing to an athlete , when your trying to be your lightest without an experienced trainer to guide and control the process things can go very wrong , from an extreme like ODH all the way to weakened enough to lower your resistance , power , speed and endurance .
WHY DOES PAC " REFUSE " TO FIGHT COTTO WITHOUT A CW IF IT DOES NOT MATTER ?Comment

A Cotto that is not weight drained (go and watch the Pac -Cotto 24/7 a see yourself tha hard time he had making that weight), has no demons (first margie loss) with a corner(trainer) having an actual game plan (not the Yes Man nutritionist glorified mitts man he had by that time)
Will definitively beat Pac, plus he already would have an Idea of what to do the 2nd time (ie. Cotto vs Margie 2)Last edited by Puya; 05-20-2012, 04:02 PM.Comment

Nobody will know because Pac didn't want to fight Cotto above 145 and since Cotto is now at 154, Pac ironically won't fight him above 147.
Not to mention Pac warned Mayweather about how dangerous Cotto is and Pac understands that, which is why weight is such a HUGE HUGE HUGE factor.
But to answer your question, no I don't think so.Comment

No its based on your interpretation as a fanboy. Don't you find it interesting how everything you say always mysteriously puts Floyd in the best light. You even invent a group of people to justify yourself. Anyone who disagrees clearly a pac fan boy. rationalizing bro. look it up fan girl cheerleader groupie. that is what you are. I say all that to say this, Man up pu$sy!Comment

Floyd isnt even a real offensive fighter and when he opened up he was bustin Cotto up and simply beating him up.image Manny thats his game if Cotto fights him in that fashion he will need a face liftComment
