at 154, with cotto's new trainer, seemed determined against floyd at his now to be seen as his prefered weight.

i think the jab tatics worked against floyd, and would beat pac at 154 with the same tactic.

cotto was drained at 145, roach knew

That's right. Cotto is a good fighter, but not nearly good enough to have a chance to beat Pacquiao. Not now, not ever. Cotto fighting at a soft 154 with a new trainer won't change that. The harder he comes at Pacquiao the quicker he gets KOed. Just my opinion.

Cotto did fight the same way when he fought Pacquiao...HE TRIED TO PUT BOTH ON THE ROPES AND UNLOAD...same deal, same *****.

Objectively, saying Cotto v Pacquaio at a heavier weight class would have a different result is like saying Pacquiao v Marquez at a heavier weight class would have a different result...styles make fights.

he cant fight Manny like that...he'd get his damn face beat in.his hands are slower than Mannys and Manny will always land in between his punches.Manny is mean as hell in that ring and trying to get macho with him will leave you flat on your face or in need of reconstructive surgery on your face.you have to fight him smart and counter

the power difference between pac's bombs and floyds relative powder puff sissy slaps if the reason cotto looked a million dollars against floyd and a mug against manny

if anything i'd say floyd caught him flush 2x as much as manny- just didnt have that raw power

floyd never had power above 135- at 154 his punches hurt less than the average 154 jab

dont get me wrong- hs punches are effective- they knock you off balance- they force land clean and "punches in bunches" add up

but they are never a threat- cotto never looked worried when floyd hit him

                floyd was bleeding all night

i think manny would beat cotto at 154 no problem
Manny does have more aggression than Floyd but to think Floyd has no power is insane.and you never saw Cotto hurt in that fight??did you watch the fight??cause Floyd while yes he got hit and was bleeding he beat Cotto's ass in that fight and hurt him a few times

A Cotto that is not weight drained, has no demons (first margie loss) and his actual corner having an actual game plan (not the Yes Man nutritionist he had by that time)

Will definitively beat Pac, plus he already would have an Idea of what to do the 2nd time (ie. Cotto vs Margie 2)
