He is not a Showtime fighter.

What that dude meant is that Showtime had the rights for Ortiz-Berto. So if the show will go on obviously the fight is going to be on Showtime if they still want to televise it since they had the rights to the original show.

Same thing for HBO with Khan-Peterson.

After this, Khan-Ortiz if they wanted on HBO or Showtime. But, for right now it can't and won't happen.

Maidana or Morales will be the one facing Khan.

And, Josesito Lopez might be the one facing Ortiz.

Yeah, but he still has a contract to fight 6/23 on Showtime. The card isn't cancelled. Golden Boy and Showtime are working on a replacement for Ortiz on that date. Khan has his deal with HBO and Victor HAS to fight someone on Showtime. So the fight can't happen...

Yeah...Showtime out-bid HBO for the Ortiz-Berto rematch...that's it. Ortiz is not obligated to Showtime for and thing else at the moment since the fight is cancelled.

The card isn't cancelled. Golden Boy and Showtime are working on finding a replacement on 5 weeks notice. Ortiz will still be fighting next month.

I'd rather see Maidan vs Ortiz and Morales vs Khan if that's the case...although Khan vs Ortiz would make more money for both Showtime and HBO if they did a joint promotion like they did for Tyson vs Lewis. Both Berto vs Ortiz and Khan vs Peterson were going to be bigger money makers than the match-ups you are talking about...I would hate to see two uneventful fights.

Who wants to see Josesito Lopez vs Victor Ortiz?

              *Edit*
              Just noticed this...

After a deserved resting period in his native Argentina, WBA super lightweight champion Marcos Maidana travelled to Oxnard last Monday to join his new trainer Robert Garcia. “El Chino” had a great welcome by his gym-mates including Brandon Rios.
