When all is said and done I believe Mayweather's fans will say he's the greatest, but in general I think he'll be regarded as this generation's best and "One of" the best fighters in history as guys like Ali, Leonard, Joe Louis, and a host of others are looked at similarly. If he were to retire today, I still couldn't put him over Sugar Ray Robinson or maybe even Willie Pep, and considering he doesn't have much to choose from until his retirement, it's more than likely how I'll view him.
