Hey salty poster. That's why I always say "in my opinion" style wise Williams was target practice for Floyd. Williams has no defense, not much power and fights small. He has been obviously easy to hit. Quintana out boxed him in the first fight and Lara did the same and got robbed. A good boxer can exploit the holes in Williams fight game and they have. I always compare style match ups and from what history has told us..... Williams has problems against boxers.

From what I'm hearing Kirkland is much more likely to happen.

If Floyd would of blasted Williams then he should of taken that "easy money" and fought Williams instead of retiring.

        Canelo fighting Williams:

Williams is on the decline, Kirkland is better, he hasn't looked good in his last couple of fights.

But I seriously would bet my paycheck on this.

        Floyd fighting Williams:

Williams is a southpaw, he's undefeated vs orthodox boxers, he is the most avoided in boxing, it will be a very exciting fight.

Floyd stans just passed Cotto's nuthugging fan base as the biggest double standard douche bags on here.
Hold up! I thought the point you were making were about Floyd fans not giving Canelo credit for a possible fight against Williams but trying to give Floyd credit if he fought Williams? The minute I say that I don't feel Williams can beat or ever beat Floyd, you get upset about me saying Floyd can beat him without fighting him? I am a fan of Floyd the boxer but I would never try to make Williams out to be a dangerous opponent for Mayweather like I did the same with Cotto. The only one I feel can give Floyd a hard fight and possibly beat him is Sergio Martinez at 154/160. You posted that you are neutral to Floyd in another thread but clearly you have issues with Floyd and his fans.

Oh and by the way..... Cotto fought Michael Jennings for Paul Williams title AFTER he vacated it because he could not find an opponent to fight him. Cotto could have fought Williams especially since Williams called him out. Guess Cotto ducked him too right? What about Manny Pacquiao? He flat out said "NO" when asked about fighting Paul Williams so he ducked him too I guess. Floyd ducks everybody according to you and many others.

I think that's a dangerous fight for Alvarez, I'd love to see it.

          Paul Williams isn't shot.

But at the same time, Mayweather has never fought a Haymon stablemate, so he has that excuse to fall back on. But i'd still like to see either Mayweather or Cotto stand up to Williams if he wins. I bet both May and Cotto are keeping their fingers crossed for Canelo to win.
If he wins he should fight Lara...

You would also believe that Mosley has been frozen in time and is coming off the Margarito win reading some of the BS excuses for Canelo's choices of opponents.

You can't pick opponents like a prospect, hold a belt hostage, and expect to get the respect of other fighters that put it on the line.
Exactly like Cotto before he fought Mayweather but Floyd fans thought Cotto was pre Margarito all of a sudden just because he was fighting him at 154.

Everyone and their mom was saying Mosley was an ok test for the young guy and now that he dominated the **** out of Shane, it was nothing.

Hell no he wasn't better overall fighter than Williams. This goes back to you Floyd cheerleaders. Pre Floyd they're everything in the book and when they sign to fight him, that gets reversed to make it seem Floyd took down the best ever.

I'm a Floyd fan and think Williams is a good challenge for Canelo. Better thank Kirkland.
