Why so much Kirkland hate on here?

    Let's be straight-forward.

He lost to Ishida on a fluke TKO. I acknowledge that it happened, but how long are we going to harp on it?

The guy fights all the best available fighters and doesn't duck and dodge anyone.

How is he not acknowledged as the top guy at 154 on here?

Who hates Kirkland? Nobody hates him. He just isn't that good. And you shouldn't leave out what happened in the Molina fight. Ishida isn't the only thing.

I for one still think Ishida would beat Kirkland in a rematch. It's a fight Kirkland should take as a tuneup after recovering from surgery so he could prove me wrong.

I don't hate Kirkland. He's an incredibly entertaining fighter who always has a punchers chance. If his name is on the card, I'm watching it.

But to me, he has a ceiling. Where he lacks skills he makes up for it with grit and determination. But that only will take you so far. He will struggle with any skilled boxer he faces.

did you see him get his doors boxed off in his last fight?

        also, as you alluded, to
        this is the reason:

this is a featherfisted japanese fighter who is all but a journeyman
not only did he beat kirkland, he stopped him in the first round. dropped him with light punches, many times.

Two shoulder tears and 122 clinches means nothing to you, obviously.

Lol if that won't change your tune, I don't know what will.

How original; the Ishida fight lol

That was 4 fights ago, get new material.

That's like me dwelling on Canelo getting hurt by Cotto's brother and arguably losing to Gomez. Who cares; it happens.

I disagree the loss to Ishida was a fluke. Kirkland has bad defense and a weak chin. Ishida was landing at will and put him away with ease. As for the hate, it probably stems from him being another overhyped fighter HBO tried to shove down our throats. He's also one of those fighters who attracts delusional fans thinking he's better than he really is. I don't hate him, but I'm no fan either. He's an exciting fighter with major flaws. Respect?

Let me ask you this. If this Ishida theory is so true, then:

                  1. Why didn't the Vera that TKO'd Andy Lee, knock Kirk out in the 1st round?

                  2. Angulo hits 10x harder than Ishida; Kirkland shouldn't have even gotten up after the 1st knockdown. Even if he did get up after the first knockdown, he should've been blown to oblivion with Angulo's very next punch. Unless you're saying Angulo was gassed within the first 20 seconds of the fight.

                  3. Joel Julio who is a ****er who landed solid shots on Kirkland should've KO'd kirk within the first 3 minutes of the fight, yes?

Do you see you silly you Ishida clingers sound when you hold on to your sole claim to fame?

because he's a pro boxer that was fighting in Morales's undercard and he had no idea who the fuck Morales was!....

apart from being skilless chinless overhyped bum

oh and Ishida was not a fluke, he got humiliated and exposed ... no amount of nuthuggery or excuses will take that back
