Promoter Frank Maloney is not backing Frank Warren's decision to stage the heavyweight fight between Dereck Chisora and David Haye at Upton Park in West Ham.

Maloney doesn't agree with Warren's decision to defy the British Boxing Board of Control. Haye and Chisora are not licensed by the British Board. Warren secured the services of the Luxembourg Boxing Federation to license the boxers and sanction the show.

A loophole in European free trade laws has allowed the contest to be sanctioned by the Luxembourg Boxing Federation, promoted by Sauerland, a German promotional company, and fight channel BoxNation.

A UK membership of the Luxembourg commission was set up on March 12, with Bruce Baker, chairman of the Professional Boxing Promoters’ Association as its head. Both Haye and Chisora will be granted licences by the Luxembourg outfit, Baker revealed.

“We are operating under free movement of goods and services,” Baker said. “Luxembourg is a member of the European Boxing Union, and we can operate throughout Europe. If the British board chooses to operate in the UK, that is up to them.

Maloney is only sickened by the amount of money Warren/Haye/Chisora will be making. He is jealous that he won't be getting a slice of the action. If Chisora was in Maloney's stable then the fight with Haye would of been made in a heart beat. Same with Hearn and any other promoter.

The people against this fight need to stop crying and get over it. It isnt the 1st time two people who have bralwed outside teh ring settle the score inside the ring and it wont be the last.

Would Frank prefer they settle it out the ring in a street or something? Ali and Frazier two of the most repsected fighters ever brawled but nobody said they should be banned. It happend so often but this is teh 1st time so many people have cried about it and I think they are just jumping on a bandwagon and upset cuz they arent getting a cut cuz they couldnt pull off a fight people want to see.
