I don't like using the term overrated on here, but in my five years on this forum Junior Witter was easily the most overrated I've seen. People took a Witter Hatton showdown and hyped Witter up to be Hatton's destroyer. Ridiculous.

To be fair, I wasn't here for Jeff lacy's hype and fall, but Witter was easily the worst of the last five years on here.

prime Witter couldnt beat Kotelnik, he needed the judges to rob Kotelnik. Witter is not that good, never was. He is decent, but not more. but Malignaggi is also not on a higher level really.

Seems like there's a lotta Witter haters here! personally I think he was the best JWW at the time Hatton was thought by some to be number 1, Witter would have beat him in my opinion because of the style match up. Hatton would have had trouble hugging him the way he did a lot of other opponents and that would have swayed the fight in Witter's favor.

Still it would have been a close one, Hatton could still **** and he was pretty quick himself. Well, I admit it could have gone either way, they probably win 5 times each if they fought 10 times total. Proper 50-50.

But there's no denying that at one stage in time Witter was recognized as the worldwide number 2 so he deserves more credit than he's gotten here in my opinion. It was kinda sad to see the way he declined after he got so much hatred from Hatton fans and the UK in general. I think the whole experience must have disheartened the guy, it would do that to anyone. He was treated very unfairly and seems like he still is.

There was nothing at all wrong with him wanting to fight Hatton at the time, nothing! And all he got for it was untold amounts of grief. That was seriously ****ed up, I still cant believe it to this day the way the public and the media treated him.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Junior Witter get another title. He was a solid fighter and champ for some time and I've seen him put nice work in. Old dogs usually have one last trick up their sleeve... He was never beaten down except by Bradley maybe...

He definitely has a much better shot at stopping Junior than vice versa. Junior was getting dropped by Bradley and hurt by Devon Alexander just a couple years ago. Two feather fisters. Paulie just stopped a previously undefeated world champion. I think Junior should do the math instead of the meth.

Yes, shitter should fight Paulie and then after he gets hurt and beaten down by him, he can then retire.
