This is grade school common knowledge.

Besides, since when did the WBC start honoring mandatories anyway? Just ask Canelo for starters.
Lee isn't a mandatory. It's a voluntary defense. Meaning Chavez Jr is fighting Lee voluntarily not because he is being forced to.

Martinez is pretty much the mandatory. Hence why supposedly the winner of Chavez-Lee will be fighting Martinez more than likely in October.

Ok, maybe I worded it wrong.

Point is, why even fight Lee, when we all want to see Martinez?

WHy risk something or injuries? For Andy Lee?

Why because he's a southpaw? Forget that, fight Martinez already.

              My POV.

If we did a national poll of "WHo should Chavez fight next: Lee or Martinez"?

That poll would be identical to my POV.

What are you even getting at? It will make more financial or business sense to fight Andy Lee?

It might make more sense to fight Lee, yes.

But, if you're looking at it from your POV cool, My POV this is not a bad fight to help him prepare for Martinez. Whether or not he would ever be ready for Martinez is another story. But, at least Lee like Martinez is a southpaw than can move. And, I don't remember the last time Chavez fought someone like that. Do you?

If Chavez Jr isn't ready right now, fighting Andy Lee won't change that.

The only thing Lee and Martinez have in common is their fighting stance. That's it.

Chavez Jr should've been preparing for Martinez years ago. That's like James Toney training MMA for 6 months and thinking he's ready for Couture in MMA.

Chavez Jr fighting Andy Lee, which is a fight he very well could lose, won't change the outcome of him and Martinez a few months later.

That's like me taking college classes in a semester; not studying, then thinking I can pull an all nighter of studying the night before, thinking that will help me pass the test the next day. No, it doesn't work like that.

If Chavez Jr isn't ready now, he won't be ready in a few months.

Martinez has been his mandatory all year. It's time to pay the piper.

60/40?? it should be more like 70/30 and even martinez said he would accept that...martinez knows he'll be making the most money ever with chavez and martinez just brings a name to chavez,i think martinez will probably win anyways but if chavez wins i think it will just shut up a lot of people, but there are always the haters that will come up with something, the same ones who demanded he should fight martinez are the same ones who will come up with an excuse if chavez wins..

Dont say that man I really wanna see this play out! Lol Sergio has power but I can't see him stopping a 180pound Chavez who from what I've seen so far has a decent chin. Would also like to see what would happen when Chavez gets frustrated that Martinez would actually box and move and not make it a slugfest on the inside
