Dawson has said for years and years that he could make 168 no problem, the first time I heard him say it was back in 07 against Adamek. He's fought at MW a couple of times in his career.

I'd be more interested if it was Ward going up to 175 not draining Dawson to 168. We've heard fighters before claim to make a weight and there's no doubting that Dawson can make the weight but being there's a difference between just making weight to say you can make it and making weight + being effective at that weight.

I'm still confused as to why Ward pretty much avoided fighting Bute after he won the Super Six but then jumps at the chance to fight a bigger & more dangerous fighter in Dawson???

Because Bute wouldn't fight in Oakland.

I dont mind this fight at all, Two guys who are in the same class boxing-wise at the sametime, one southpaw the other unorthodox etc, both young with a lot to offer, this would build up to the Bute fight nicely if he beats Froch..

This is going to be an easier fight for Ward than Froch was. Dawson is really going to get whooped badly for the first time in his career.
