Shoul Floyd Stay at 154 or Go Back To 147?

If Floyd opts to stay at 154, he will have to face stronger, taller and heavier challengers with longer reach. He could also again be challenged by Martinez at 154.

If he goes back to 147, there is only one fight that people are clamoring for and are waiting for to happen. But everyone, except his diehard fans, knows that Floyd does not want that fight and it is obvious that he will find every excuse to avoid it from happening.

From the looks of it, it seems that Floyd has put himself in a spot. He may have realized this that's why he is hinting about another retirement.

Not that it matters, but i dont think you have to be a diehard floyd mayweather jr fan to conclude that he is not the only one to blame. I think before the Marquez III fight manny was very confident about beating Floyd. However after the problems Marquez caused manny i believe he got a harsh reality call. Mayweather is greedy, thats his downfall about making this fight. Bob Arum isnt too fussed about making the fight due to his dislike of mayweather and the fact that the card wouldnt be purely top rank.

In regards to your question about Mayweather at 154, i think he suffered at that weight. In the fight against Ortiz, he looked extremely sharp and hardly took a punch. He looked sloppy at 154. And i believe Martinez would pose him many more problems. I wouldnt right floyd off, but he is up against it in that sense.

i actually think Floyd and Lara would be a pretty good scrap, if the Martinez fight doesn't come off. If not, he might as well move back down. Though he certainly showed he can still hang at 54 if he wants to.
