pac is a b!tch and a duck if he doesn't take the 40 mil after the cotto ppv numbers come out and shatter all of his previous ppv's. he is a 7 million dollar fighter.

Geez he has currently beaten Floyd in ppv numbers. That my friend is pulling power and how much money pac can generate as a boxing mega star attraction. 7 million my ass..

Pac is a PPV attraction he can pull numbers 1million up same as Floyd and sometimes even better. Just shows his drawing power and saleability enough said..

after take the test was ok'd by pac. next was the purse, there was arum on the way then there was his health on the line. what's the next excuse for mayweather only 50 cents and jailweather family beleived? nada, zit. the whole world knows he's avoiding pac because he cant' deal with left handers. next excuse would be as long as pac will fight on a right hander stance. good deal for mayweather fans? did you his right face from cotto's left?

Your up for clown of the year..,lol I said Floyd believes in his head that he deserves more and believe manny isnt scared of anyone...I'm a fan if both fighters but manny fans are straight crazy when it comes to Floyd stories...I.e. this reply.....what lesson do i need to be taught?

manny has said in all his interviews he leaves who he fights to arum and roach...what's so wrong about what I said?

Guys let's move on. Mayweather has one and half years to decide whether to take on Pac or not. Ball is completely on his court. If he decides not to fight Pacquiao, he'll be the laughing stock of the world for the rest of his life. That's what I'm looking forward to. That won't be long.

Of course, they'll blame him. You'll look like a clown if you blame anyone but Floyd. As you can see when he says, "Pac you're next", it means he's the one holding up the fight. He knows it.

Manny’s last fight in November against Juan Manuel Marquez drew 1.41 million PPV buys, while Floyd’s fight last September against Victor Ortiz drew 1.25 PPV buys.
Floyd’s fight with Marquez in 2009 drew 1 million PPV buys.

Pacquiao’s fight with Antonio Margarito in 2010 drew 1.5 million PPV buys, while Mayweather’s fight Shane Mosley drew 1.4 million PPV buys. Despite Mosley being perceived as a shot fighter, Pacquiao drew 1.3 million PPV buys in their May 2011 fight.

In total Pacquiao’s last three fights have drawn 3.86 million PPV buys, while Mayweather’s last three fights have pulled in 3.65 million PPV buys. In summation Pacquiao drew in 210,000 more PPV buys than Mayweather did. When you take into account the higher number of PPV buys that Pacquiao’s fights have drawn it translates into a cool $10,000,000 in cash.

It is true that the Floyd Mayweather – Oscar De La Hoya fight in May 2007 drew a record 2.4 million PPV hits. Many boxing observers largely attribute the high PPV numbers in that fight to the extreme popularity of the Golden Boy, Oscar De La Hoya and the fact that it was held on the Cinco De Mayo holiday.

But Pacquiao’s recent higher PPV numbers only tell part of the story. In the same three fights Pacquiao sold out the venues, while Mayweather’s last three fights were not sold out. In addition, when Manny Pacquiao fights at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas a significantly higher number of high rollers from Asia fly into Vegas for his fights. The economic impact in Las Vegas for a Pacquiao fight far outstrips that of any other fighter.

In a study by CSE, an integrated sports and marketing firm, Pacquiao is one of only two boxers in the 2012 Power Rankings of the most powerful athletes in the world. Manny is ranked at number 28. Mayweather is ranked 49th in the same study. Both on and off field accomplishments are taken into account in the rankings. Endorsements and media presence figure heavily in the rankings.

ole said on his twitter “Richard Schaefer said PPV is tracking well. He said ‘it could finish over 2 million.’ Said is is ‘Bit time ahead’ of Money-Ortiz fight.”

In addition to that, Iole said “Attendance was 16,047. Gate was $11,999,996. Closed circuit attendance in LV [Las Vegas] was 9,286.”

We’re talking a $12 million gate to go along with a possible 2 million PPV buys. This means that Mayweather could end up making between $60-70 million for his fight against Cotto. Those numbers are staggering, aren’t they? Mayweather already was guaranteed $32 million for the fight, but the PPV totals will make it much more, especially if they come in 2 million buys. The PPV record is 2.4 million buys in the Mayweather vs. Oscar De La Hoya fight in 2007. Nothing has come close to that fight since then.

so who knows.....but Pac wont make that unless all Filipinos pitch in and help. My PR people had a lot to do with those PPV numbers in the Cotto fight, same will have to be said in the Bradley fight for Pac.
Manny's last fight with JMM did well only because many people wanted to see if Manny would be bested or very tested. Go by numbers from the first JMM Manny fight. If Floyd and Cotto were to have a rematch you could bet that it would higher grossing than the fight from last saturday. That is part of the physics of boxing. If an opponent give a superstar fighter a good fight; the second of third will sell even higher because of expectations of the unknown. Floyd is definitely a better fighter and seller of PPV than Manny.

People forget that Floyd didn't even make weight in the Juan Manuel Marquez fight. He didn't even want them to check his weight the day of the fight, I wonder how much more advantage he had in size and weight. Everybody knows Floyd never has a problem making weight. My point is that he didn't even have the Confidence in him self fighting Juan Manuel Marquez on the catch weight set before him, how much more Pacman.

the pac-jmm2 fight was the highest ppv record for the lower weights. the lower weights usually and always doesn't post record shattering ppvs like WWs and above. and the pac-jmm2 was pre-oscar. much like floyd's ppvs pre-oscar was nothing to brag about. know your timelines.
