I think GBP is mad because they have invested heavily on the fight already. If the Peterson camp knew this was coming they should have had the decency to give GBP a warning of what was coming so they could prep the fans and try and salvage the fight.Comment

Yes i get that but it cant be long
WHat if they take the test a day or 2 before the fight? So the it wouldnt be known if it was positive until after the test?
According to VADA policy, section:
VIII. Transport of Samples and Documentation
A. Transportation of Urine Samples
1. Samples shall be shipped to the laboratory designated by VADA as soon as practical, and wherever possible on the day of collection.
Also
5. Transport of blood sample(s) from site of collection to the designated laboratory should be made as soon as possible and preferably within 36 hours of collection.
So basically Urine has to be immediately shipped so or taken by hand if possible so i cant imagine it taking 2 months to process 2 samplesComment

Exactly
And it worked flawlessly. He didnt argue whether the test was legit but whether the testing protocol was followed
And if i remember correctly, the tester did mail the sample for 2 days because he thought FEDEX was "closed". So he kept if for 2 days.
So his 50 game suspension was repelledComment

From what I read, Team Peterson was informed of both the results in April. I think both parties involved in the testing should have been informed.Comment

I don't think that ethics would allow VADA to inform Khan, it wasn't his sample. At least I'm assuming so.
And didn't I read somewhere that immediately the second test proved positive, that Peterson immediately had another test done, (don't know where) which proved negative??? We might find that this whole fuss in only media inspired, as are so many other worthless "Stop Press" reports. Then the fight would go on as arranged.
It's very advantageous for both the fighters and prooters, that there be rumours and scare
"headlines" about this fight. Stirs up interest. Look how often something happens to put the fight in "jeopardy"...... Like The Roach always being worried about problems with MannyP's training.Comment

It took the same length of time to test the A sample. I suppose that's the procedure. Maybe someone who works in such a lab might post in to let us know the procedure.

The first sample was taken on march 19. The 2nd test was taken immediately after sample B tested positive, which was on May 2nd.
So 45 days passed between his first test and his 2nd test. 45 days. No wonder it came back negativeComment
