Untill then he should get a temp ban untill the results are uncontested. Assuming the result stand, he will likely have to pay damages and face a lenghty ban. Cyclists usually gets 2 years for first time offenders. PEDerson will likely face a shorter sentence.
Hello Battler, long time since we bumped into one another. I feel differently, don't know why, the whole thing soesn't seem natural. I can't believe a top fighter would arrange to have a VADA test and then deliberately ruin it by taking illegal drugs. I feel that he may have been prescribed a medication, which he took long before the fight was on, which had a residue lasting just long enough to give the positive test..It could have been a course of tablets for a limited time period. I wonder what steps the NSAC will take if he can prove medical neccessity.

Does anybody know what positive effect this drug might have on his skill, endurance and overall level???

Nice to talk to you again Edgar.

I think you might be overestimating the mental capabilities. Maybe he thought it wasn't illegal. Maybe he thought the drug couldn't be found. Maybe he thought the testing wouldnt commence so quick.

Doesn't matter though. At the end of the day it's the athletes responsability to know what he puts in his body. I'm not saying it's easy in these days of shady supplements, but it's the way it is.

I've followed cycling for many many years, and have heard excuses so dumb it's unbelieveable. Some of these athletes sounds like they are mentally unable to crack an egg. Excuses include eating a steak from a cow bred from steroids over the high red bloodcell level stems from an unborn twin to competitors injecting hormone in toothpaste.

What PEDerson has done is ******, but it's definetely not the all-time most ****** thing done in this regard.

I've read everything that has been published on Boxingscene. I think that my comments are entirely reasonable. I'm neither accusing nor lauding. Through our exchanges I've seen a possible explanation for the situation. Just one unknown factor...so far is, that months before, Peterson may have been prescribed a neccessary medication containing testosterone. The effect lasted longer than they thought. If that was it, it'll be traceable. Maybe that's why they waited so long before agreeing to rematch Khan.

It only remains to see what the NSAC will do. The little tid-bit that Kizer released only stoked flames. Not the kind of format a supposedly impartial NSAC chief should be scattering.
