I find it funny that they're questioning VADA now, I wonder how this would effect the Ortiz-Berto II with Golden Boy now.
Am sure they would sweep it under the carpet too if they knew earlier before VADA annouce it to everybody, Well am sure now they would pay a strict attention to the Ortiz-berto fight..

I think they only informed Team Khan once the sample 'B' was confirm to be positive too, Which was a couple of days ago, Am also curious why it took over a month and a half to confirm a 'B' sample..

Another BoxingScene staff writer received the letter from Goodman, as did writers for other websites. It was then forwarded to me to put up in an article.

Im not sure but i've taken drug tests for work and they called me within 2 days. But this testing which costs several thousands of $ takes much longer

So he tested positive March 19th and GBP wasnt informed until May 7th, which is closing in on 2 months

        Somethings fishy

These are the things Petersons lawyers will have a field day with

I don't know if he was tested by March 19. The sample was taken on March 19.

Like Reloaded, said they would have to send it to the labs and then have it to comeback.

Again how long would it take for WADA to get the results back? Plus when they got the sample A results. They notified Peterson and his lawyer immediately according to Goodman. And, if true then I'm pretty sure they will be some proof supporting that. So not sure how Peterson lawyer can have a field day if it's also that he told Goodman to hold on telling the results to NSAC until the Sample B results came in.

Peterson's people were notified immediately after "A" tested positive, when "B" was positive all necessary parties that needed to be informed, were informed.

I agree with VADA's protocol. All the blame is on Peterson and his team.

Im pretty sure they will have this small fine print amended the next time they agree to VADA. Like in the Ortiz/Berto fight. Its VADA first time catching someone so GBP probably didnt understand the legalities. Itll be fixed very soon if it hasnt already been fixed. This is better for boxing and it is showing right now that better testing is needed

If it was 2 different promoters they might try to get money from the guy that tested positive. But when they promote both guys, now what, they just eat the cost unless they want to sue their own guy and even then it doesnt sound like there is anything agreed to on what to do for a positive result.

If the Vada notified the Athletic Commission, I wonder then if they do not sanction the fight even though its not their test? Or if the fighters could agree to fight anyways like they do when one of them is overweight?

Sounds like everyone just assumed there would be no positives with people agreeing to extra testing. I would have thought so too.

peterson's case is more than that actually...he was the one who demanded the extra testing and khan agreed to it. it's an eye opener to everybody...even criminals can wear police uniforms but doesn't mean they're law enforcers.

Yes i get that but it cant be long

WHat if they take the test a day or 2 before the fight? So the it wouldnt be known if it was positive until after the test?

                      According to VADA policy, section:

VIII. Transport of Samples and Documentation
                      A. Transportation of Urine Samples
                      1. Samples shall be shipped to the laboratory designated by VADA as soon as practical, and wherever possible on the day of collection.

                      Also

                      5. Transport of blood sample(s) from site of collection to the designated laboratory should be made as soon as possible and preferably within 36 hours of collection.

So basically Urine has to be immediately shipped so or taken by hand if possible so i cant imagine it taking 2 months to process 2 samples
