Cotto vs Alvarez makes all kind of sense

Both guys are Huge draws, Its Mexican vs a Puerto Rican, Saul beat his brother, they both exciting and skilled, both at 154..................

      Get it done

      WAR COTTO

well anyways that beside the case. You make it sound like Cotto will have an easy time. Cotto is going to have a war in front of him, Alvarez is packing his own arsenal and I know he will be landing his own share of bombs. Can't wait for this fight, Canelo will be ready.

I would have to agree. Canelo would be very prepared because a win over Cotto would silence his critics w/o question considering how well Cotto just fought.

Cotto even if he defeats Canelo, which would be difficult imo, he will be toying with the probability of some serious medical issues in the future. How many more battles can he endure without the residual effects? Just listen to Sugar Shane and you would have to agree. He appears to have his faculties in order but to face a young buck like Canelo with the power he packs would be senseless. Why bother? Cotto is an ATG with nothing left to prove.
Cotto should face Sergio. I was not impressed at all with his last performance against Macklin. I can envision Cotto handling that fight with ease since it would be more of a boxing match as opposed to the slug fest he’d have to endure against Canelo. Notwithstanding, knowing Cotto, he will more than likely fight him because that’s just Cotto! Fighter who puts on great fights!

Man you mistaken Canelo for George Foreman? Excuse my ignorance as I didn't see any threads over the weekend fights but one thing I'm not rating is Canelo's power, nor his output.

Foreman lol, now that's an extreme example. The kids has some pop man and Cotto is battle worn and weary. I mean the man has taken some blows notwithstanding round after round of brick padded hands. Canelo cracked Suger a few times that had me wondering how the hell did he not fold!

If this fight goes down, and somehow Canelo is up on the odds...

makes Cotto, officially, the most underrated fighter of all time.

I'd love to see Canelo vs Cotto. It would be a great fight imo.

Canelo vs. Cotto...a good selling fight yes. Would probably go PPV I'm guessing. I suppose he could fight Martinez or Kirkland, or even Berto or Ortiz.

Bummin' about Peterson vs. Khan fight maybe getting cancelled. Sux. Maybe Peterson didn't really want to fight him in England, so this was his way out!
