Cotto lost but the scores were too wide and it DOES MATTER. What if Cotto would have won the last two rounds and scored 2 knockdowns in those rounds? The 118-110 card would have still been 114-112 Mayweather....I know its just hypothetical, but I don't see how it was 8-2 after 10.

Everyone uses hypotheticals when it comes to Mayweather. If you couldn't see 8-2 after 10 [or even 7-3], then it sounds like you're new to the sport.

It was 7-3 after 10. Cotto won back to back rounds, skipped one and then won another. I believe Lederman's card was dead on.

But either way, the margins were perfectly fine. Whether you win a round by a millimeter or a mile, you still win the round. Same with the scores. Whether it was 115-113 it really doesn't matter, Floyd won the fight.

The reason he left the ring was obvious. He was disgusted with the scores because the judges were basically telling him, "you would have lost no matter what you did in the ring". He was the defending champion and even if he had swept the last 3 rounds (which he didn't), he still would have lost a UD. 116-114 or 115-113 for Floyd would have been fair, but those wide scores were a slap in the face of the champion and proved to him that he was just there as a prop for the Vegas cash cow. Much respect to Floyd for a great victory and for acknowledging that Cotto was his toughest fight.

I think it's pretty clear he thinks he either won or at least did better than the scores would indicate but he doesn't want to look like a complainer.

I get it. You put in hard work and go 12 competitive rounds with the best fighter in the world...he prob felt like he was RIGHT there and then not only did he not get the win but the scores were wide(I don't necessarily disagree with the scores though 10-2 is a little wide).

So it's easy for people to say who cares a loss is a loss but when you're a competitor you want a score to accurately depict what the fight was like.

He should have manned up and talked to the press, that's what he gets paid for, but I'm not gonna act like I don't understand it.

Cotto said very little before the fight and even less after. He said that He respected the judges desicion, but disagree. THAT'S IT! Even when He arrived in PR He said NO to the reporters and that He was going to make a statement in the next few days. He hasn't done that and every other BS out there is fabricated for ratings and discredits.
Cotto has not release any statements yet.
Mayweather has spoken for both and clearly has stated that Cotto has been his toughest fight ever.
