The Cotto that Floyd fought on Saturday is leagues away from the Cotto that Pac fought in terms of skill and technique. And Diaz is a huge plus. Difficult to compare both fights.Floyd did win, but took a beating from Cotto. Floyd knows what will happen if he fights Martinez or Pacquiao. Floyd got a taste of Pacquiaos quality opposition. Last week Floyd was talking about fighting 5-7 more times, and now after Cotto is talking retirement. After his toughest opponent to date Floyd finally fights a hard fight and is talking retirement! I guess Cotto did put a beatin on him. Look how many wars Pacquiao has been in. Mayweather did enough to beat Cotto, but Pacquiao destroyed Cotto.Comment

And how do you know this about Mayweather Sr? You know Mayweather Sr. personally? You know Mayweather Jr personally? You been around both of them together for years to see the ins and outs and intricacies of their relationship? You know anyone close to them?Floyd Snr is a very selfish man, Floyd Jnr was right when he said that Snr expects him to bow down and thank him for all he has. Floyd Snr is all about Floyd Snr.
If I was advising Floyd I'd tell him to stay away from Martinez, Floyd is not a LMW let alone a MW, he's too big. Pacquiao on the other hand is easy work for Floyd but it will never happen so who cares.

Pacman had better performance against common opponents compared to Floyd....YESSS!
Both Pacman and floyd fought Cotto, De La Hoya, Mosley, Hatton and Marquez..Floyd can only boast off a much better performance against a smaller and a lightweight Marquez who he fought on his advantage when he came in over the stipulated/agreed weight.Floyd fought Marquez who just went two division up and campaigning for the first time on this unfamiliar weight.Pacman got the upperhand against bigger and stronger fighters(Cotto, De La Hoya, Mosley, Hatton). In short, Pacman edges Floyd 4-1 against common opponents.Floyd got only 1 against smaller Marquez.Pacman fought Cotto near to his comfort zone(comfortable weight), much fresher and three years younger while Floyd fought a very damaged Cotto(lost and badly beaten by Margarito and Pacman), not on his best weight, 3 years older…So,Pacman is much better than floyd against common opponents…plain and simple.Comment

The thing with Merchant is that it's only words and you can tell from Merchant that Mayweather's apology was truly genuine. The thing with Sr. is that Jr. has a LOT of problems with him starting with Jr. being a baby and being used as a human shield.Comment

Dont see any challenges for Floyd? Wait 2 years for alverez to geet better then may fight alvarez?Despite having a relationship that has proven itself to be chaotic and full of turmoil at times, Floyd Mayweather Sr. will always have a place in his heart for his son, Floyd Mayweather Jr.
And while the younger Mayweather found himself in a debilitating skirmish on Saturday night with Puerto Rico’s Miguel Cotto at the MGM Grand, his father was watching intently. Mayweather would emerge with a hard-fought unanimous decision and the WBA junior middleweight belt after twelve heats but was left with a bloodied nose and a bruised face that told just how taxing the fight truly was.

Its not like Floyid to wait for boxers to be dangerous enough for him, who is he trying to kid? He could fight alverez, khan, Pac and sergio now. Thats his whole career right there.Comment
