For fighters of my generation, it all began with Chico. He was the reason I continued to watch Boxing after Trinidad and decided to keep the gloves on way after that.

His style personified everything that was great about the sport and what separated it from all other sports. Watching his wars with Casamayor and Castillo made a lot of youngins ditch football & basketball practice and hit the mitts, this is the type of competition i'd wanna be involved in.

Time goes way too fast.

Still remember that night like it was yesterday, wish I didn't drink so much but I still remember just standing the last few rounds knowing I was seeing something I might never see again.
