Nothing was proved at all ... we all know, nobody is invincible.

But we have yet to see one who can beat this guy in the ring -- sure, some have come close and even some have pushed him to the limit. But in boxing, almost is just not good enough.

If Diaz and Cotto want to revel in "ALMOST" beating Floyd, then there's a long list of guys to join, including Mosley, who ALMOST, got a KO against Floyd.

Bottom-Line: Almost only counts in ??????

Sure Floyd's NOT invincible, but he is proving to be very tough to beat.

    43-0 Speaks for itself ............

    • I don't know why people are complaining about the wide margin of the fight. Mayweather was the clear winner. If it was closer maybe at least one of the judges would have scored it closer. Cotto fought a hell of a fight. I've never been a Cotto fan but I will root for him in his next bout. There's no doubt that Mayweather was the overwhelming winner on Saturday night.

          • Cotto never rocked Mayweather like Corley or Mosley did. Mayweather was never hurt but he rocked a 160lbs+ Cotto in the 4th and 3 times in the 12th with 10oz Grant gloves.

I just love how people talk and compare Mayweather like he's some super inhuman specimen from another planet. I don't even remember Roy Jones Jr. getting this much attention and praise when he was cruising through everyone in the 90s - but then again, back then we didn't have thousands of boxing fora with ****** users on them.

Floyd is not invincible - no one is - but he's one of the greatest fighters to ever step inside the ring.

            • Good post......

Good post man. I've been waiting for Floyd to get his ass kicked and Cotto gave it to him. This proves my point that when he fights an A-level fighter, his accuracy goes down, he looks good but not great, and he is just another great fighter. Based on how Cotto performed he would have had a problem with fighters like Duran, Chavez, Trinidad, a prime Oscar, Whitaker, Taylor; I think Manny would beat him. He needs to retire before he gets beat because it's coming. He wanted to move and look pretty and be patient but Cotto wouldn't let him. He was somewhat exposed in this fight. Had the Ortiz fight went on, he may have won but he would have been in a fight. Matter of fact, the fight was just warming up when stupo head-butted Floyd and bailed him out.

              • From a spectators point of view i thought it was close, but i didn't judge the fight.

To judge the fight u gotta consider
                "clean effective punches"
                "defense"
                "ring generalship"
and i think the 4th is effective aggression.

Bro, Cotto did not win a single round until about round 6. Mayweather clearly won rounds 1 to 5, although 5 is where it started to get competitive. Round six was a clear round for Cotto and so was round 8. Rounds 7 and 9 could conceivably have gone to Cotto. All in all I thought Cotto won rounds 6 through 9 giving him FOUR rounds. I had it 8 rounds to 4 and thats if you give Cotto the benefit of the doubt.

                  • Pacquioa fans are so intimidated by Floyd Mayweather it's embarrassing to say the least.... Everytime a Mayweather thread goes up they invade like mosquitos. A true sign of how scared they really are to see Pac lose. HELLO, pointing out when Floyd loses 2 or 3 rounds in a fight and walks away w/ a bloody nose only adds to the notion that Floyd would beat pac and the way you guys flock to Floyd's threads only makes you guys look bad and shows how fearful you are of Pac losing.... No one spends as much as time on Floyd as Pac fans.... Floyd won the first 5 rounds, lost 7 and 8 and then won 9-12....Cotto fought a hell of a fight and to fight that hard and lose must take a lot of you.... 10-2, Floyd Mayweather....

                    • If you didn't give Cotto rounds 5-8, there is a clear problem.
