  • Cotto did a lot better than I thought he would. He set himself up for some good fights if he wants to continue.

As for this fight, he clearly loss. His performance was just a moral victory. Anyone who says that Cotto won this fight or that it was close must have been drinking some good rum that night.

Cotto can still make some good cheese fighting the likes of Martinez or Alvarez.

Do you watch football (soccer)? if so, show me a 35 year old who has the same legs and movement as a 29/30 year old.

Roach said it first and while he's not always correct I don't think he's far wrong.
mayweathers legs are nt gone, but he can not move like he used to at all. It is the exact same thing with Pacquaio, but even worse for Pacquaio. Look at how fluid pacquaio was against dlh and hatton, how elusive and rabbit like he looked, and juxtapose that with how stationary he was against mosley and jmm. Pacquaios legs have been slowing down fast starting with the cotto scrap.

Floyd had them rolling off of his shoulder and the side of the body. Cotto fought well and strong. Wish he had Diaz early in his career. Haven't saw Floyd in a fight like that since Castillo and some of Demarcus Corley (Floyd nose was bleeding in that one also). Cotto brought a combination of Castillo/Corley.
        Totally agree....

        • FOR THE RECORD:

I will be sickened if Tim Bradley beat Manny Pacquiao, and then Floyd goes and wipes his ass with Tim Bradley.

That would be a very unsatisfying turn of events for me.

I don't even know that Arum would allow a May/Tim fight to happen. I imagine that if Tim beats Pac, that Arum would set up a trilogy of in-house fights.

          • Cotto boxed very well but at most won 4 rounds, shows how good Floyd really is to me. Wasn't his best performance bu still won comfortably against a very good opponent. Thought he was going to KO him in round 3 or 4, had he stepped on the gas he could have done because he had him hurt. At times Mayweather couldn't miss with that whipping right hand.

I had it 117-111, some of the rounds were close, but Floyd won them.

Cotto needs to stay away from Martinez.

NO WAY!!!! Floyd clearly won rounds 1-5 and 9-12. One of the rounds 6-8 Could've went either way with Cotto winning 2 of them but I thought Floyd landed the more telling shots. I scored it 118-110 (10 rds to 2) for Floyd. Worst case scenario 117-111 (9 rds t 3). Cotto was competitive but he CLEARLY loss. There was absolutely NO CONTROVERSY!!!!! If Floyd had stayed off the ropes Cotto probably wouldn't have won a round.

Bradley isn't beating pacquaio, Too slow no where near enough power to get Pacquaios respect. It should be competitive for a while but Pacquaio will storm him, and win with output.

                    Exactly.....

I mean he won 2-3 rounds and gave a Floyd a bloody nose.... Floyd fought his fight against teh ropes and beat him, cotto was demoralized...

I mean Floyd could have stayed in the center of the ring and whooped him even easier....

I laugh at people saying his legs are gone, when he trains for hours on end.... I mean look at that last round, floyd was on cottos ass with speed and buckled Cotto.... Left uppercut....

Cotto picked Floyd up which to me was strange in itself..... And that jab to teh pit of teh stomach was a thing of beauty....

If Bradley beats Pacquiao, he will not get Floyd. Unless the first fight was in no way remotely close, Bradley and Pacquiao would fight again. If Bradley won a shutout the first time or two decently competitive fights, Arum would curse, scream, and eventually suck it up and try his best to make Bradley a star.

Although, if Bradley were to beat Pacquiao convincingly, 9-3 or 10-2 let's say, I think that would prove he at least deserves his shot at Floyd and it could be a good fight. Bradley is no Marquez, he isn't going to be completely lost in the ring with Floyd, even if he can't win.
