After rewatching the Fight, i thought Cotto got 4 rounds. Mayweather clearly won the fight but i will agree that Cotto earned the right not to be called a Jotto by me anymore. My only Problem with Cotto was the fact that he let the 35 year old defensive wizard OutPunch him nearly every round. Once again i think Cotto's Stamina got the best of him as he was clearly pacing himself instead of Laying it all on the Line against one of the Greatest of All Time. Wouldnt be surprised if they had a rematch as neither fighter really has an option besides PacMan and i dont think Cotto or Mayweather wants to tangle with the Filipino after their grueling affair.

Possibly Mayweathers toughest fight(the castillo fight was closer but Mayweather never had to grind like he did Saturday), but also one of his more entertaining ones. Both fighters deserve praise.

A message to Team Cotto: Do not confuse a good showing with reality...Cotto fought well at times, yes he hit mayweather, yes he roughed mayweather up, yes he clearly won rd8, BUT dont overlook reality, mayweather was sticking cotto with those right hands all night, sticking cotto with that uppercut all night, and inside hitting cotto with some nice body shots, and on the outside was sticking that jab in cotto's stomach...i've watched the fight 4 times and judged it 3 times. first time i judged it was an unbias judge and i had floyd winning 117-111 (9rds to 3rds).....second time i judged it as a really really pro cotto fan and scored it 115-113 still for floyd...third time i judged the fight as a floyd fan and scored it 118-110 floyd...So now no matter how well Team Cotto think they did, they still clearly lost

Cotto looks slow but it's obvious that he's not. Everyone that fights him say's he has deceptive speed but I think it's his timing that allows his shot's to be sneaky and effective.
But the jab was his punch. It was the only punch he landed on a consistent basis.
Floyd is very accustomed to using his spidey senses to know when a guy is gonna throw, and Cotto surprised Floyd on several occasions.
I remember one time, Floyd landed a combo, and turned Cotto. Just as Floyd relaxed, Cotto landed a left hook up top. I thought to myself, "Hmmm, if that was Pacquiao power, Floyd would be in some trouble there".

But you're saying he took his right hook away from him when he really didn't do anything of the sort.
He landed it effectively in almost every round.

If Floyd would have dedicated himself to that left upper cut that almost floor Cotto and hurt him prior then Miguel would have been out of there. Floyd won. I gave Cotto 3 rounds along with the utmost respect and admiration. 9 rounds to 3 Mayweather. Cotto lost. He made it competitive but it wasn't close.
