He knows Martinez would put him to sleep and after he got busted up last night by Cotto's left, he knows for sure what Pac would do to him.

Could he not at least give Martinez a shot? Also, if Bradley beats Pacquiao then he may be deserving of one as well. We'll see with Alvarez, but he has yet to beat a top-notch opponent.
hes 35 and slipping a bit he knows it, but hes got about 1 or 2 fights left, if not... oh well what can we do... he knoiws 154 is dangerous for him, floyd aint fighting martinez buddy u can forget that one

The p@ct@rds will be devastated the day Mayweather retires. They love hating Floyd more than they love loving Pacquiao.

I am pretty sure that isn't Floyd's last fight~ even if he takes a while off he isn't going to stop spending money like his cash has an expiration date.

He can generate money against whoever and really he is probably in the best position of his career, to me t would be dumb to walk away currently while the iron is hot for him. Although he walked away on the Hatton fight which was also a good spot for him to fight whoever but Floyd is still much bigger now.

I would hope such talk is just posturing and to drum up buys for his next fight be it at the end of the year or in a year, but there is truth to it because he really doesn't have all that long left in the sport.

but floyd is more skilled then manny

If Floyd does not fight again it will likely be only because he does not believe a big payday is out there. Pacquiao is there, but that fight still looks unlikely. If Bradley tops Pacquiao you could argue he would deserve a shot, but Floyd very likely would not consider him a big enough draw to warrant a fight.

That would be a shame since there would still be some doubt in regards to who is the best at 147-154. As noted Martinez is still out there as well and he is willing to do prett much whatever it takes to get a fight with Floyd.

I'm not sure why but I've become strangely fond of Mayweather since last night. I wouldn't like to see him retire. Last night, he represented the sport in a way befitting of his talent. It was the anti-thesis of the bull**** of the Ortiz fight.

His reasoning for not making the Pacquaio fight is bogus, though. It's not like he'd be making less with a 50/50 split in a Pac fight than he made last night, so what's the problem?

I think Manny needs to just bite the bullet and take less. **** it.
