But, I'm glad you got it.
It's not like you to post before you think. This has been tackled before. The cut was to the bone, took a cosmetic surgeon over an hour in MannyP's dressing room to do the 3 layer surgery, with 28 stitches. The time traditionally allowed for a cut like this to heal enough to take punches is 4-6 months. Pacquiao was not allowed to even spar before April. This was well published, it was the doctor's order. This was before Mayweather's sentence and postponement. Everyone's healing time is different, it might have been healed by mid march or mid April. Who cares. The other important conditions of the fight were not settled, barely even touched. All of Arum's suggestions, were just that, suggestions, possibilities, with nothing certain until put in the contract. All boxing people know that. Making a big fight is almost exactly like arranging the logistics of an attacking army.

    • I'm not gonna theory craft what Floyd said on the phone with Manny but I bet you anything he told Manny to leave Arum. I just got a gut feeling he told Manny to do that. That's why he called Manny him self.

What you're saying here is the fight didn't happen because Floyd rejected the June compromise. Just a effing month. We all know that the prison date can be adjusted.
OK again it's just an effing month right so why couldn't Pac fight in May? And, keep in mind to that he was willing for JMM.

Man people like you make boxing look so bad. What does Marquez face has to do with anything? It was still a close fight that over 80% of the people who watched the fight claim Marquez won in their eyes. You act like you never seen a fighter with a tore up face go and win the fight down the stretch. One guy has power and the other guy doesn't so common sense will tell you want?

Split has never been about wins or losses though. It has been about who brings in the revenue.

I mean if it was wins and losses than Oscar wouldn't have a bigger split than most of the dudes he fought later on in his career.

                  • Floyd was outboxing cotto easy for the first 6 rounds watch the fight again just boxing then he decided to **** cause uncle roger told him that cotto was ready to quit so floyd thought he was gonna be able to get a ko. Then he just stayed in the corner trying to counter you people don't think he could have gotten out of the corner and just jab upstairs and down stairs over and over and won 12-0 but if he did that people would have complained i paid $60 and all floyd did was stick and move. He tried to **** when he didn't have to. Mayweather would just box vs Pacquiao and win most of the rounds and use his footwork Pac can't even deal with Marquez speed and footwork there is noway he can deal Mayweather's

It was just this week that Arum said he would go to the Philippines to meet with Pacquiao and present him with the names of four possible opponents for May or June: Miguel Cotto, Marquez, Lamont Peterson and Timothy Bradley Jr.

Arum figured Mayweather would be in jail and off the table. Now that Mayweather is available and seemingly would like to make the match, Arum suddenly isn't interested.

Moments after Mayweather was granted the continuance, Arum changed his tune.

"We're fighting in June, one of the four guys," Arum told me over the phone.

I asked him, now that Mayweather was available, would he at least be part of the conversation when Arum meets with Pacquiao next week?

A perturbed Arum's response was, "Absolutely not. Nope."
