Good pics but they could be deceiving cause like I mentioned in another thread It was a very good fight & Cotto fought his heart out & gave Floyd a MUCH better fight that what many thought or were predicting, but Floyd skills were too much for Cotto..They both were in shape & came to fight & to win..Cotto had a good game plan & had his moments, but Floyd's defense was as great as always & made Cotto miss a lot shots & Cotto defense wasn't bad cause he did block a lot of shot & made Floyd miss, but not as good as his opponent.Floyd hurt Cotto really bad in the 12th & final round, he even wobbled Cotto but I don't think Floyd even noticed cause he didn't go for the kill & let Cotto recover & like a true warrior Cotto then came on trying to do his thing.& in a post fight interview Floyd said he wanted to take Cotto out but couldn't but the most important thing was to get that win..Undoubtedly Cotto gave Floyd 1 of his toughest(if not the toughest)fights of his career & has nothing to be ashamed of, too bad the scorecards didn't show that..I had 116-112 & yahoo sports had even closer at 115-113..Even thou the score cards weren't the most accurate it doesn't take away the fact that Floyd clearly won the fight & I don't see the reason Cotto walked away without giving a post fight interview cause the announcers & the fans have no fault of what the judges do & if he wasn't happy with the scoring, he should have spoke his mind out at the post fight interview & not walk away like some spoiled sentimental brat..& the excuse that he had to use the restroom, C'MON!!That's just some dum B U L L S H I T!!

As much as Cotto "landed" on Mayweather. He managed a mere 8 connects per round. About the same as everyone else Mayweather fights. Fight was definitely more physically grueling. But Cotto wasn't any more affective landing on Mayweather as anyone else.Comment

says the floyd hater that watched the fight. typical.Just like what a lot of people said, it just another comedy show featuring the chicken Floyd Mayweather. This is a good proof why chicken Floyd is scared to death regarding fighting Manny Pacquiao. Miguel Cotto is a leftover of the great Manny Pacquiao and now fighting with chicken Floyd and we all read in the news that this chicken was not able to deck this fighter that the Pacman toyed with. Now we all know that the fight between Manny Pacquiao and this chicken Floyd will never happen.
leftovers?? no such thing as leftovers in boxing. fighters win/lose to each other all the time. (example: leanord, hearns, duran. just because two fought each other before the third person came into the picture, would you say that they were a leftover??)
That's just lingo that floyd used to make a point about how he gets no credit for beating the same people pac beat. and pac gets praised for it.
You're just stealing floyds words.
styles make fights buddy. pac obviously is more aggressive and throws way more punches than floyd. and despite everything floyd says to HYPE up the fight, people know that he's not going to go for a knockout. he's too cautious to open himself up and do that. And he's satisfied with wearing down opponents with his boxing skills and earning his UD's. Add on that he went up to fight a 154 pound cotto, with 10 oz gloves (definitely makes it a bit harder as well)
And although Floyd did get some bumps and bruises.... cotto didn't rupture his eardrum like he did Pac.
And i like how the great manny pacquiao's team said that they'd fight cotto again - at 147 or no fight.
Nonetheless. Floyd put on a great performance against a very good miguel cotto. Pac lovers KNOW they WATCHED the fight with 100% intentions of figuring out what sort of things they can hate on Floyd regarding.... you guys, really do love him!!Comment

Ironically, *******s found some measure of joy watching Mayweather lose arguably two and no more than four rounds against a fight Pac stopped. But under no circumstance was Mayweather ever in danger of losing that fight. Stop people. Just because one isn't outclassed doesn't mean he isn't thouroughly beaten. Mayweather didn't struggle with Cotto. He just didn't outclass him. Struggling is what Pacquaio did in his last fight, which according to most he lost....to a fighter Mayweather toyed with, outclassed, and was criticized for fighting in the first place.Comment

Yup I agree with you, Cotto did give it his all, he left it all in the ring, nothing to be ashamed about. Floyd was just his brilliant self in the ring once again, but Cotto didn't lay down, he came to fight.Good pics but they could be deceiving cause like I mentioned in another thread It was a very good fight & Cotto fought his heart out & gave Floyd a MUCH better fight that what many thought or were predicting, but Floyd skills were too much for Cotto..They both were in shape & came to fight & to win..Cotto had a good game plan & had his moments, but Floyd's defense was as great as always & made Cotto miss a lot shots & Cotto defense wasn't bad cause he did block a lot of shot & made Floyd miss, but not as good as his opponent.Floyd hurt Cotto really bad in the 12th & final round, he even wobbled Cotto but I don't think Floyd even noticed cause he didn't go for the kill & let Cotto recover & like a true warrior Cotto then came on trying to do his thing.& in a post fight interview Floyd said he wanted to take Cotto out but couldn't but the most important thing was to get that win..Undoubtedly Cotto gave Floyd 1 of his toughest(if not the toughest)fights of his career & has nothing to be ashamed of, too bad the scorecards didn't show that..I had 116-112 & yahoo sports had even closer at 115-113..Even thou the score cards weren't the most accurate it doesn't take away the fact that Floyd clearly won the fight & I don't see the reason Cotto walked away without giving a post fight interview cause the announcers & the fans have no fault of what the judges do & if he wasn't happy with the scoring, he should have spoke his mind out at the post fight interview & not walk away like some spoiled sentimental brat..& the excuse that he had to use the restroom, C'MON!!That's just some dum B U L L S H I T!!Last edited by Toltec77; 05-06-2012, 11:07 AM.Comment

This fight did prove cotto is the same figther that always fold to pressure. If your not a cotto fan and rican you would of saw 3 things last night. When pbf started attacking and hit cotto flush cotto would of retreat not knowing what to do but like always pbf played it safe. Second if cotto wants to keep fighting he needs to fight guys like pbf that just box and are not pressure fighters cause thats his weakness. Canelo, angulo with the correct mentally would murder him as well as paul williams. I kept hearing yesterday cotto is no ortiz i woul think cottos next fight can be against berto vs ortiz winner or canelo more moneyComment
