    MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Floyd Mayweather Jr. (43-0, 26KOs) became the WBA's junior middleweight champion with a twelve round unanimous decision over Miguel Cotto (37-3, 30KOs) in a fantastic fight. The scores were 118-110, 117-111, 117-111. They went to war, they traded punches, they traded blood - but Mayweather's accurate punches gave him the edge in several close rounds.                                   Castillo, Oscar, and Cotto are the only opponents who have landed 100+ punches on Floyd. I'm sure there were few more opponents who have landed just as nearly, but those three stand out the most.
