i didnt think he was too slow but he was slower, much less defensive. the thing is its clear he didnt have to fight the way he did. he chose to. why? i dunno. but he was clearly breathing hard out of his mouth altho its likely due to his broken nose. kudos to cotto for that one. i dunno if that was his plan or not, but he kept aiming for it. and it worked pretty well.

I still think Cotto can beat Top SWW's, aside from Erislandy Lara, that'd be a nightmare for him. I think he has more left than Oscar did.

If Cotto can get past Lara's left (and that's a big If), I can actually see him out working Lara pretty easily, IMO.

Lara is gonna have issues with above-average boxer punchers with high work rates, and despite having some stamina issues, that's what Cotto is to a T.

I wouldn't say he was dominated though just clearly didn't have a case to win those rounds.

Bayless stopped the fight with two minutes to go to avoid Cotto getting more underserving punishment, but Cotto wasnt nearly going down at the time of the stoppage.
