It became about the money when Manny sued Floyd. In 2009 Manny offered up 50/50 and Manny pulled out. "Afraid of needles" my as$. Would you offer the man sueing you 50/50? If your answers yes then your a dumbas$.

At this moment in time I believe manny needs Floyd. Floyd is set to gain the biggest purse in boxing history. He is going to make almost 2xs what manny makes and this hurts mannys ego. As far as boxing manny has very limited options after Bradley where Floyd can fight Sergio for another title in a bigger weight class and can also stay at 154 and take on the top at that level.

Then it makes no sense for Floyd to fight Pac who already lost to JMM, who didnt win a single round against Floyd.

With that reasoning then Foreman shouldn't have fought Ali because Ali struggled with Norton and Frazier while Foreman walked all over those two.

While I can see people thinking the way Roy did, it still doesn't necessarily mean that it needs to be that way.
