Doesn't matter, that clearly wouldn't be Dawson's healthiest weight. Ward moving up to 175 and beating Chad Dawson would gain him massive respect and prove to the world hes one of the best P4P.

But like a lot of fighters he will opt for the easy way out because he has the upper hand in negotiations due to his ranking and undefeated record.

He should be a man and step up, not bring Chad down. Do any of you give Dawson any chance if it was at 168? I don;t ...

Dawson is a fool to weight drain himself down for a payday. Didn't he learn anything from watching all the guys who weaken themselves for Pacquiao?
He can make just as much money clearing out his division. I'm not a big fan of this fight.

Dawson should have never opened that door but Ward is not going to budge from 168.

As far as coddled goes, Ward takes the cake...he usually has a home court advantage and the judges seem to come from Cali as well most of the time. He conveniently avoided Bute when they could have set something up and then he calls Bute out once he is lined up to fight Froch.

They should meet in the middle...common sense says so but it wil be Dawson at 168, drained and he'll probably still work Ward over.

Next person says the name Bute I'm going to slap them Bute could have gotten in the Super six it would have been the Super 8 but he declined and chose to fight Zuniga and Andrade I know you just said who he waited until the tournament was over and then was like ok I want to fight the winner in Canada yeah right!!!! Ward has been safely guarded but Bute has been cradled and Andrade knocked him out in the first fight if you don't think so watch the end of rd 12!!!

The Canadian even said he'd come to the States to fight...Ward said that he needed to take some time off...at least that's what the articles on this site said.

and don't forget that Ward fought at lhw (178lbs) as an amateur.

Chad called him out @ 168, so Chad has to man up & deal with that. Doesn't matter if it's 168 or 175, Chad's problem is that he's not a busy fighter & Ward will make him pay for being inactive. Ward at either weight......

Yes, Ward hasn't had to fight in hostile territory (something I don't care for), but nowadays, so many cats are doing it, it's like the norm now.

If Ward has called Chad out, then it should be at 175, but it was Chad. So, he gave away any kind of advantage he could have had so he needs to deal with it.
