The reason he is at 154 now is that they gave themselves the excuse that it was weight. Who has he fought at 154 of any regard? NO ONE!
You guys can't get past the ass kicking he got at the hands of Margarito. Bad wraps or not Margs tagged Cotto plenty of times so what makes you think a faster fighter with skill would be any different? Cotto's best was at 140
Before you start acting like you know something, make sure you know it 1st. There was no catchweight for the Clottey fight. Therefore Cotto trained down to 147 & just happened to come in the weight in at 146. That is not the same as training down to 145 & not being able to weight higher. Class dismissed.

Ex, Floyd may land 12 shots in a round, out of 20. Manny lands 15 shots out of 45. One has a connect rate of 60% and the other 33%.

      Who did more damage?

Pacquiao will do more damage. # 1, he's packing more power in his punches and # 2, he's hitting you more.

Floyd may be more efficient, but Manny is still the far more dangerous opponent.
      How is this possible?

        Connect Rate:
        Floyd: 100%
        Manny: 66.66%

        Punches Landed:
        Floyd: 1
        Manny: 2

        It's elementary.

Then why is Floyd considered the most accurate fighter with the highest connect rate in the sport if Manny lands more?

yes he's got the highest connect rate but the punches weren't like pac's. pac punches if thrown hard comes from the body, full throttle, all his weight was there when he unloads it!

Punch rate = % of punches
Punch volume = # of punches

Mayweather lands at a higher %, but doesn't hit nearly as hard or throw nearly as often.

Pacquiao lands a higher # of punches, hits harder (and arguably faster), but not as accurately.

                    Make more sense now?

You forgot the miss % , thats matters with accuracy , and you forgot how Floyd lowers every fighter to their lowest punch out put in their careers , Pac would clam up because he would get countered every time he moved , this fight with Cotto at 154 is so much tougher fight than with Pac at 147 , Floyd would totally own Manny , ask JMM .
